Activision’s Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball MAX’D Hits Shelves - Locked and Loaded for PlayStation®2

SANTA MONICA, CA, September 29, 2006 –Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball MAX’D (GHTP™) PS2 fires onto shelves today with some of the fastest action on PlayStation 2. Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball MAX’D (GHTP™) PS2 takes the best from before and puts a spin of optimal speed and performance into the hands of players with new features and enhancements that separates this game from other first person action games. GHTP MAX'D PS2 is available now from Activision Publishing, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc.(Nasdaq:ATVI).

With up to 60 frames per second (FPS) in career mode, GHTP MAX’D PS2 sets new standards for intense speed and realistic action. Gamers are thrown straight into the action - fanning the triggers, jumping over bunkers, and snap shooting in turbo speed. Other new features include: the “Snake Jump” which allows characters to jump over low lying ‘snake’ bunkers; “Ramping” that enables dual R1 and R2 trigger firing up to 24 rounds per second; “Adaptive Stealth” that allows AI opponents to rapidly move up the field avoiding detection by crawling, crouching and running behind bunkers and “Suppression Fire” which enables NPC’s to pin down opponents.

“The GHTP franchise is building and evolving with each and every game,” said David Oxford, Activision Publishing, Inc. “Greg Hastings' Tournament Paintball has been one of the most popular multiplayer games for the Xbox platform. From what we have seen with this game, we expect the PlayStation2 game to exceed players expectations.”

From the beginning, gamers have recognized Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball for its ‘play for real’ gameplay. Players take to the field to sharpen their paintball skills with basic skills and equipment and advance from rookie to pro facing off against multiple players and top paintball pros. In GHTP MAX'D PS2 the experience is ramped up a notch with 5 new levels; 15 new selectable characters; 10 new markers, including the Shocker, Ego, and Bob Long’s Intimidator; 28 other new gear items, and 80+ new teams to choose from. Gamers will find licensed markers and gear from over 20 manufacturers and authentic field layouts from the three major leagues: NPPL, Xball and the Millennium Series. Gamers also take part in a new “Round Robin” tournament feature in career mode. The game has online play, co-op, new additions to the Breakout Manager and Field Editor, and new voiceovers featuring Matty Marshall, co-host of ESPN’s US Paintball Championships.

The GHTP franchise is no stranger to gamers. The original Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball game for Xbox® became the sleeper hit of 2004. To date, over 160,000 registered gamers have played GHTP on Xbox Live.

GHTP MAX'D is available for the PlayStation 2 game system from Sony for a suggested retail price of $39.99. It is also available for the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft and on Nintendo Game Boy® Advance and DS™. The current versions of the game have been rated "E-10+" ("Everyone 10 and older" -- fantasy violence) by the ESRB. GHTP MAX’D cell phone game will soon be available on Verizon, AllTel, and Amp’d Mobile. For more information about the game visit www.GHTP.net, www.activisionvalue.com, and www.GHTPMUSIC.com.
