News Post

Tornado warnings and all sorts of crazy weather in my area last night. Squint told me he was up until 2 A.M. boarding up his windows.

I was pretty shocked to hear Favre retired yesterday. I mean, after the season they had, I figured he'd put in another year or 2. Guess the mind started to take over and he decided to shut it down.

Couldn't find The Show anywhere last night, but was told by quite a few stores they'd have more today, we'll see. Wouldn't you know, the one time I don't preorder, is the one time there are no extras available.

What's up with you?

I ended up not buying MLB 2k8 yesterday because of the mixed impressions on the OS boards yesterday. I think I'm going to wait until I play the demo since I've never owned a 2k baseball game. I'm not really in a baseball mood yet and I saw CH 2k8 was only $40 at Circuit City, so I'm tempted to buy that this weekend and wait for MLB until later, if ever.

Terrible weather. Ice storm last night followed by snow this morning. It took me an extra 25 minutes to get to work (normally only 25 min. total). My wife had already left for school when she got a call that they were cancelled. Her drive is normally 45 min., so I'm glad for her that she got the day off.

Otto Graham, Joe Montana, John Elway (broke my heart too many times), Dan Marino, and ...can't decide between Peyton and Brady.

Ice storm last night, and 20cm+ of snow today. School was cancelled, and I have a day off work. Great day so far.

QOTD: Marino, Montana, Elway, Favre, Young. I'd put Brady or Manning in there but they are still active, I'll probably put them in once they hang them up.

Montana, Beuerlein, Brady Quinn, Tony Rice, Jimmy Clausen

Montana, Staubach, Peyton, Elway, Otto Graham

Nice work Kyle Korver, jeez that doesn't even happen in the WNBA, of course no one jumps in the WNBA either...

It was crazy weather here Sunday night too. Tornado watches, but rain like crazy and winds up to 60 mph. Woke up around 4am and thought my house was going to cave in.

See it never hurts to preorder!

Fetter! Man I miss that guy in online shooters...

Nothing much is up with me. Just here at work. My 360 was shipped back to me last night, but because I was not at home and they needed a signature from me, they couldn't leave it. Which I don't mind because I don't want my 360 laying on my front porch all day. I tried to pick it up at the the Fed Ex place, but I went to vote when I got off and by the time I got there it was closed. Oh well, I waited this long another day will not kill me.

Baylor and A&M play tonight, huge game for both teams..If Baylor wins tonight and vs Tech on Saturday they would finish third in the Big 12 and that is a remarkable turnaround from all the stuff that happened to this program a few years ago. They should be able to get into the Big dance with winning one out of their last two, but I would like to see them beat A&M instead of Tech if they are only going to win one. A&M has Kansas next and if they lose the next two, they will not be heading to the big dance.

next two games on my radar, RB6 Vegas 2 and GTA. No baseball game for me this year.

No love for Dandy Don Meredith? At least he'd beat out Hogeboom

QOTD: Montana, Elway, Marino, Staubach, Brady (as much as I hate to put him in the top 5 already)

Well i'm being cheap and waiting for MLB 2k to arrive at the big box stores as my mother is a supervisor at one and can get a management discount for me. I'm not exactly happy at that prospect but seeing how some people are complaining bitterly about the game maybe it's for the best to wait it out.

I woke up pretty cranky today, dunno why. Oh and Steve what's up with these bots man? I'm having to send reports about them almost every day now!

We had a crazy snowstorm the other night but not a lot of it stuck, made it difficult as heck to drive home though.

my top qb's: Unitas, Marino, Cunningham (he made me love the Eagles), Otto Graham, Favre or Unitas.

Dodged pellots of ice all through the evening yesterday. Is it spring, yet?

QOTD: Montana, Graham, Bradshaw, Unitas, Staubach

Just another day of work until 2 then class until 7...Living the dream

QOTD: Joe Montana, John Elway, Terry Bradshaw, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning

I keep forgetting the Morning Other Stuff is in the OS Neighborhood.

I'm seeing a lot of Marino's on the list. There should be a rule that you CAN'T be considered the best if you didn't win a title. I'm sorry but that should be a rule.

QOTD: I had a three hour instant message conversation with my father on this very subject about a week ago. We broke it down and came to the conclusion that the Top 5 are:
1 - Montana
2 - Unitas
3 - Favre
4 - Elway
5 - Staubach

To be considered you must be retired (No Brady or Manning, yet). My father pushed for Namath because of his impact - one of the most popular quarterbacks ever that really elevated the position in the eyes of fans but if you look at his numbers they are not very impressive. Still, winning that Super Bowl as such big underdogs was and is pretty special.

I think I'll be picking up a copy of MLB: The Show for my PS3. I'm not a big baseball fan, but the game looks to good to miss.

I'm also disappointed to see Favre retire, and I thought he would come back for another season.

Jay Barker, Favre, Aikman, Elway, and Montana.

The 5 qb's above are my favs. not who I think is the best.

QOTD: Marino, Montana, Elway, Untias, and Favre.
