I guess this means that no matter what EA does with Take 2 there will be a NBA 2k9.

Lets hope thats the case, i just cant see EA letting them release 2K9 if they buy them out.

In my mind I'm thinking either KG, Chris Paul or LeBron James.

The real question is: Did they have the balls to pay LeBron his million?

I'm really liking KG as the cover-man though; I think they expected him to land in the Finals so they could have this marketing campaign.

I say Paul for the repeat.

why not? wouldnt that just mean EA gets the profits from it?

This has got to be the earliest that TakeTwo has released the cover athlete for the NBA2K series. They usually keep us waiting until around July/August.

Great News that they will release the Cover announcement this early.

CP3, Kobe, or LeBron

If they get LeBron on the cover EA will have their backs against the wall, everyone would buy that. When I was little I would just buy the game with the coolest cover or commercial, and I know all the kids today would grab the LeBron cover.

I picked Lebron. My second choice would be Chris Paul.

They did a piece in ESPN The Magazine on Chris Paul and in the article he says that he'll text Lebron saying things like "Game-time 10 PM", and it specifically says that they play NBA 2K8 online. It doesn't specify the system.
# 19 Mintsa @ 05/22/08 09:14 PM
Is that the actual shadow of the player ??

My vote's in for CP3.
