Dion Phaneuf Named NHL 09 Cover Athlete Press Release

Earlier today we brought you information about Dion Phaneuf being named the NHL 09 cover athlete along with the first NHL 09 screenshots. EA has just issued a Press Release that makes the announcement official. The release also includes some details on what will be new to the game this year:

It is interesting to note that the game is still being developed for the PC, even though EA has recently given up on developing both Madden and NBA for the home computer. Check out the full Press Release for more information.
