Wednesday Morning Other Stuff (6-11-08)

Had some SQL issues this morning, sorry for the late post.

So... The Lakers won last night, I guess "The Fix" is in full effect huh?

We've had t'storms every night for the past week it seems like. Nothing like sleeping and waking up to a BOOM. At least it seems cooler today, been in the high 90's for a week.

What's up with you?

I dont think it is on an everyday basis. I think there are certain situations where it is. The NBA has a vested interest in its high profile stars and teams being on TV and making it to the playoffs/Finals. And when you have a marquee matchup, you dont want it over in 4 games, you want it to go 6 or 7 so you ca maximize exposure, profit etc.

I think there are certain refs who call games differently, not picking a team, but that are more tailored to a team (i.e. a ref who calls alot of fouls doesnt favor a defensively strong team).

QOTD:Fixed...yea...I think Bostons 1st series against the Hawks was made that way because it was the most boring series to watch. Every home team winning a game with some exceptions....obviously to make more money and get more time on tv. Clause must be we NEED to have a game 7 in the finals. Bull****. I was so happy to watch the NBA this year until the playoffs...then I gave up and enjoyed the NHL playoffs
