EA Sports NHL 10 Simulation Predicts Stanley Cup Champions in 2010

Led by an outstanding performance by Conn Smythe Winner, Marc-Andre Fleury, the Penguins were able to withstand a relentless offensive assault by the young Chicago forwards. Hart Memorial Trophy winner Sidney Crosby and the Penguins take home the Stanley Cup for the second time in as many years with a 4 games to 2 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks."

Hey ya know the east standings aren't too bad, but the west? The pool of teams in the top 8 could happen but Detroit 8th LA 5th and Columbus 4th? Yeah, right... Besides I'd like to know what sim program they were using because anytime I sim a season columbus always wins the cup vs. tampa bay or something equally ridculous

I refuse to believe that's what they came up with on their first attempt. They probably did it several times before they got a simulation they didn't feel embarrassed releasing.

Can you imagine a press release that read: "EA Sports NHL10 simmed the 2009-10 season and the Columbus Blue Jackets are your Stanley Cup champions, defeating the New York Islanders in a tough six-game series. Columbus ousted the juggernaut Los Angeles Kings in the Western Conference finals, while the Islanders advanced to the finals by edging the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference finals.''

Yeah, that would be good for new sales.

I'm liking the Hurricanes winning the President's Trophy. Hopefully that isn't too far fetched for this year. I like how we stack up for 2009-10.

Thats EXACTLY what I thought when I read that.
