Madden NFL 11 News Post

IGN has posted the top 10 movers and losers, in terms of player ratings, in Madden NFL 11.

Quote:
"As days continue to pass and the weather around the country (except here in San Francisco) really starts to heat up, it can only mean one thing: football season is right around the corner. As always, Madden is poised to beat the real NFL to the punch with its typical August release (August 10 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2 and iPhone to be exact).

To whet your appetite for what looks to be one of the most impressive football games in years, we're here to give you guys a look at the five most improved players in the NFL as well as five guys who appear to have spent their off season with a can of Pringles and the TV remote at their side."

Haha Charlie Whitehurst was honestly one of the main reasons I went to Charger Pre-Season games. He was so bad it was funny to watch. I am curious though to see how he does with a first team squad instead of potential practice squad members.

Gholston's overall actually went up. it says in the article his OVR went from 70 to 65. in the released jets M11 rosters, he is a 75

How does Whitehurst get a boost like that when he hasnt played and he is not even the starter now??? F'n stupid but jonathan stewart isnt rated higher than frank gore or mike turner??? He has more yards, tied for touchdowns and started way fewer games.

Maddening!

Poor Gerald Alexander doesn't even get a personalized comment.

Gerald Alexander should have been a 75 at the end of Madden 10. I don't believe Donny increased his ratings once last year, despite us clamoring for it on the ratings forum.

Nelson isn't worth a 77 IMO.

Mike Wallace should be on there!

Nice to see Dashon Goldson move up from a 74 to an 80

hasselbeck got robbed. the reasons to list are many. 79 is an insult to him. i thought 82-84 like previously was fair.

Meh, I've gotten used to the whole "look down on the Jaguars" thing. It'll pass.

Actually, no, IGN did not misspell that word. Whet is a word, defined by Merriam-Webster as:

2. to make keen or more acute : excite, stimulate {whet the appetite} {whetted her curiosity}
