Looks like Kinect sales are very strong thus far.

A little more than ten days after launch, Microsoft's Kinect has sold one million units.
The peripheral arrived at the million units milestone a week ahead of Black Friday, and is expected to sell 5 million units by the end of the year, Microsoft announced today. The projections were raised from 3 million before the Kinect's launch.

To put that number in perspective, there are approximately 32 million 360 consoles which have been sold thus far. Five Million would be approximately a 15% of all XBox 360s sold having a Kinect -- and that's just in a couple of months.

If this trend continues Motion Controls are coming to popular sports titles near you very soon, could we already know the focus of the feature lists in the 2011 Sports Gaming lineup?

Guess I am not the one in a million. This "kinect" thingy looks like blah to me. And the games... ugh. Whatever - I could care less.

Good numbers. Hopefully it continues and we see some really good games. I was surprised how well the motion and voice commands worked. It has some really good potential.

I am curious to see what happens over the next 6 months to a year. Will this be like the Wii and start collecting dust once the honeymoon is over?

If it continues going strong with improvements made to the technology, I would love to see how the sports gaming world will change.
