2K Sports Partners with San Francisco Giants’ Pitcher, Brian Wilson, to Debut First Major League Baseball 2K11® Digital Short Film on “Lopez Tonight”

New York, NY – January 26, 2011 – 2K Sports announced today that Brian Wilson, relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants, has partnered with 2K Sports to offer his expertise to Major League Baseball®2K11 by acting as a creative consultant in a series of original digital short films starring, co-written and adlibbed by Wilson himself. Wilson and his “famous beard” will make a guest appearance on the popular late night television show “Lopez Tonight” to debut the first film in this hilarious series. “Lopez Tonight” featuring Brian Wilson will air on TBS on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 12:00 a.m. nationally and 11:00 p.m. Central.

Wilson is well known for his incredible skill on the mound and jet-black beard, as well as his surprising antics on live television. It will undoubtedly be an appearance that sports fans and gamers alike will not want to miss.

Developed by 2K Sports’ Visual Concepts studio, Major League Baseball 2K11 will once again award $1,000,000 to the first person to pitch a verified perfect game in Major League Baseball 2K11, the next edition in the popular Major League Baseball 2K series. The race to perfection will commence on Major League Baseball’s Opening Day, April 1, 2011, giving gamers nearly a month to practice with the game before embarking on a quest that only 20 pitchers in baseball history have accomplished. I'm not watching Lopez Tonight.

I watched it once and I said "Never again".

There isn't a less funny "comedy" hour on television.

I agree. I would love to see this game, but I can't sit through 20 seconds of Lopez w/o cringing

I hate when people are bothered by something that didn't actually happen

As for Lopez... yah, I'll just wait until it's posted on YouTube, lol.

Will definitely wait for the youtube clip. Unfortunately I'm guessing this is one of those funny commercials that won't really tell us anything about the game.

My thought exactly guys. YouTube all the way... But, as we come to expect from 2K, it's probably not going to show any true gameplay. Just cinematic or trailers stuff more than likely. I hope they give us some actual in game footage though. Here's hoping.

Definitely a youtube only event for me, it even bothers me to see the promos for Lopez while I'm watching Conan.
