Madden 12 News Post

Over the next few weeks, EA Sports will show 25 new plays that you will find in Madden NFL 12.

To be clear, there are more than 25 new plays in the game. Each day, a new play will be accompanied by a screen of the play art and a brief description of why the play has been added to Madden NFL 12.

Play #17 features the Okie Roll 3.

Quote:
Dollar 3-2-6 Okie Roll 3 – NFL defensive coordinators are constantly inventing new ways of giving the offense the illusion of an all out blitz pressure. Dollar 3-2-6 Okie Roll 3 just as its counterpart Okie Roll 2 uses a pre-snap disguise from a 2 deep look. With both inside linebackers showing blitz in the B gaps it looks as if it’s an all out blitz but it’s actually a basic three deep four under zone defense.

This is a good play right here to use on 3 and long down the field to prevent the offense from getting a first down. If it is done right and all. Thanks alot for posting Steveo

I like it. I've been waiting for the longest time to have the look where the backer's mug the line of scrimmage. Show blitz doesn't do the same thing, and it can get your secondary out of position. I love that this is built into the play and hopefully, with expanded plays, we can focus more on playcalling instead of mashing away at the buttons to make pre-snap adjustments.

I'd slant the Dline to the right on this to create an overload there and to keep the DT from dropping into coverage, which I bet will be as useless in M12 as it is in 11, at least against the CPU.
