I love that they are at least working a 4th patch, but no yearly release title should need four patches. There's just no excuse for it.

Yeah, I can do that, but I can't get a setting where the AI RB fumbles either without totally nerfing their running game.

Editing 9,000 D1 players isn't a solution either.

It just needs a little tweak, it was fine in year's past.

Good for them for working on patch 4, but it's a troublesome sign too. See, by this time production should really start getting bumped towards NCAA 13 -- unless they're just rinsing and recycling the engine and doing little else other than a "roster" update. Devoting resources to 12 is possibly starting to take away from 13 at this time frame.

That they're working so far away from the release date shows just how much they know they have screwed up with this game this year. And while they have patched and fixed some issues, other issues are just looming far too large.

Why can't the new recruit tendencies be fixed? It makes long term Dynasties practically worthless. Eventually 2/3 of the players' tendencies are screwed up throughout the NCAA, and it shows on the field in a terrible way.

And Heisman FG kicking? Seriously? That has to be a fix that is as simple as tweaking one threshold -- one value that somehow got bumped around with the last update. There's really no excuse for that kind of bungle.

Well, there is one: no competition = no need for attention to detail.

I'm pessimistic about what this update will bring. Because at this point EA can't even compete with themselves. That's sad.

I haven't seen anyone mention the transfer error on this thread. Is it fixed yet? I am still stuck in bowl season of year one in my online dynasty. Also, has EA issued any type of apology?

4 patches.

At least they are working to get this game tuned right. Funny thing is I have been playing all along and throughly enjoying my dynasty.

I did notice after the second patch visually the game was much better. game play wise a tad tighter. But nothing groundbreaking or game breaking in the least.

It's been said multiple times by developers that the transfer failed error is a server side issue and has nothing to do with patches.

Me too. I'm having a complete blast in my offline dynasty. The only difference though, is that I'm a no huddle guy so I never downloaded patch 2. Playing with just patch 1 has been awesome.

I've seen a few PI's called mostly on WR pick plays with the ball in the air, they bump into each other.

I always have a renaissance with the series every year around the holidays and into the spring. If this turns out to be a solid update, I'll pick the game up again. I didn't get my usual playtime in during the summer though, as the issues detracted too much from my enjoyment. I'm still looking forward to getting some enjoyment from the series this year.

There better be something amazing in this, or they would be better served using their time to work on next year's game.

Fix the tendency bug, and I'll play this game again. Still not going to buy it next year though.

Despite all of the crazy things each patch has brought about...this truley is a great game. I still love playing it, even with some bumps(sometimes mountains) in the road. Im not going to say I wont buy the game next year opening day, because the truth is, I WILL. After this 4th Patch(which is ridiculous to have that many patches, this could be one of the best NCAA games ever.

I am really hoping there will be a fix for cpu zone defense, both against the option and especially defending the deep ball. I am 12 years into dynasty and its been fun, but i'd love to be able to call a deep route without feeling cheesy.

# 35 BaylorBearBryant @ 10/07/11 06:30 PM
I'm also hoping patch 4 addresses the incoming recruits' tendencies. This HAS to get fixed.

Fix tendency bug, more fumbles, Sliders more sensitive (CPU passing game on AA is lacking).

# 38 BlastX21 @ 10/07/11 11:01 PM
Just please fix the psychic CPU. I've noticed recently that not only do they call a formation than counters the type of play you're running, but they'll even line up in spots where the play is going. For instance, if you call an outside run, there will a LB stationed just to the right of the LoS waiting for you. if you call a HB Dive, the LB's will be stationed above the DT's pre-snap, but if you call a Read Option there will be one LB to the right of the DE and one to the left of the other DE, to counter both possible directions.

I love the game. It isn't perfect but I've had a ton of fun playing it and still love it to this day. It would be nice to be able to dissolve conferences, rename conferences, or fix a few annoying issues with custom playbook such as in some playbooks I'm not allowed to deselect formations, I have to keep it with at least one play no matter what (no it's not an audible play either). Lockdown CBs being beaten too much in bump and run coverage, zone d still not being that great, CB seemingly lost when the ball is in the air can be frustrating at times but overall I have loved this game.

# 40 jasontoddwhitt @ 10/07/11 11:37 PM
If they fix recruit tendencies, the matador option defense, custom playbooks, and restore the zone defense back to where it was at launch, I'll be a happy camper.
