Shouldn't team turnover differential equal zero when added for the whole league? It seems like its heavily favored in the positive side when I looked at it. Am I missing something?

I think the simmed stats look pretty damn good. Also the roster hasn't been updated and tuned yet so those numbers are likely to shift a bit.

Pretty happy over all.

Although this stat line is similar to his 08 stats when he had 3 tds except he had 30 less receptions in the madden sim. Leading me to believe that combined with a low ypc average mean gronk and Hernandez would have gotten a ton of goalline tds. Also need to look at how many times New England punched it in as a team. They could have had an awful redzone year and since he is in the slot relies on redzone targets for tds.

That's more than some of the other guys who had like 6-14 TD's.
Hmm. If you do the math (total rec. yards divided by YPG), he actually missed 3 or 4 games during the year. Impressive considering those are obviously still good numbers.

I'm not gonna get too worked up over it though. Antonio Brown (PIT WR) had over 1,000 yards receiving last year and only had 2 TD (different type of offense but still). Hell, Welker himself only had 3 TDs with 1,165 yards back in 2008, though he has become more of a TD the past few seasons.

^ Dang right! LOL

I did like how the records looked on top of the rest of the stuff.

I agree with this.

Big difference since 08 is that they haven't had a #1 like they had in moss that year. Granted Lloyd is no moss but he is the best #1 they've had since. Combine that with gronk's td totals last year and that leaves Weller the #3 option on long passes and a distant #2 in redzone looks.

I'm not too concerned with player leaders, I mean they're important but to me what's WAY more important is the team stats. How they slice the pie individually is a different story.

That being said the team stats look pretty damn good!....except for one REALLY bad sign....1st downs.

In that video the top team with the most first downs would have been ranked 30TH last year! So it seems they are not having enough sustained drives, or scoring WAY too quickly in the sim engine.

At the end of the day, big picture there are more important things, but I just wanted to point that out. Overall though I'm pretty pleased.

When was the last time 13 sacks lead the league? Deacon Jones would scoff at such a low leading sack total.

When was the last time a DT lead the league in sacks? This seems more realistic, but having no LBs in there for another year sucks footballs.

The rushing is a bit off, but maybe there were tons of injuries. lol

wow the passing stats finally look really good.. having a 4,000 yard passer doesn't look like its rare anymore.. if the completion % is fixed they'll be perfect.. rec #s look good.. seems to be a lil too many rbs around 1300-1400 but hopefully they can fix that.. but if not they arent that bad i guess

sacks leaders are a way too low and too many dts but hopefully they toned down total sacks.. maddens always had way too many players with double-digit sacks

1 thing a lil off topic.. does anybody know if they toned down simmed qb injuries.. i think that was one of the problems with qb stats in 12.. almost every game had stats from 2 qbs because every qb would get hurt and miss some snaps

That does suck that he only had 1 TD but I believe the back to back years (2008 & 2009??) when he had like 120+ catches each year he only scored like 3 TD's in each season, so it is not that far fetched.

PPG looks pretty high
Rushing yards per player too high
Don't think we didn't notice all those DTs in the sack leaders

Overall, not that bad though.

I'm only concerned with the amount of rushing yards, hope it's not that easy again but it seems to be a matter of guys not subbing in enough. Also see a lack of the top TEs.

Legatron 9 punts for a 51.3 average.. looks like EA did him justice. Also lol at Henne starting and throwing 30 TDs.

It hasn't happened in the last 30 years, though almost every year with few exceptions only 2-5 people exceed 13 sacks.

Question: does the game extrapolate the user's stats if they play less than the full 15 minute quarters? i.e., if you play a 5 minute they multiply the stats by 3?

Seems like it'd be difficult to lead the league in any meaningful stats if the league is being simmed at 15 minutes and you're playing 5 minutes, or if you're playing 5 minutes and the league is being simmed at 5 minutes then the stats would be low.

# 38 StreetCarp @ 08/21/12 06:43 PM
QBs getting way too many TDs, RBs with way too many yards, and defenders not getting enough sacks. Also I'd laugh my *** off if a mediocre Pats CB was the INT leader 2 years in a row.

Yeah he totally replicated the interface as well. Makes total sense.

For crying out loud.
