NBA 2K13 News Post

Kris Humphries. Serge Ibaka. Kyle Korver. Tony Allen. Shane Battier. George Hill. Heck, Ray Allen probably has to be considered a role player now.

Role players are incredibly important to a team winning a championship -- as they perform duties that are sorely needed from a grinding rebounder to a reliable spot up shooter to a punishing shot blocker. Everyone has a different 'go-to-guy' they rely upon or truly hate because of their reliability to make a play in the pinch.

So what about you? Who are your favorite role players in NBA 2K13? Who are the guys who are no fun to play against but totally fun to play with but who's overall ratings don't do them much justice? Sound off and let us know!

Andrei Kirilenko & Nick Young. I'm super-hyped I got em both and they make some huge contributions off the bench for me in my fantasy draft association.

Signed J.R. Smith in the off-season in my Bucks association and it has paid off big time. He had two or three 30+ point games where I needed someone to step up, and a number of 20-25 point games.

Currently Wayne Ellington or probably as above mentioned Anthony Morrow.

JR Smith, Ray Allen and Nick Young. Picked up all 3 at stages throughout my Cavs association and Smith and Young are instant offense, and Allen drains 3's.

I like bringing Derrick Williams off the bench. Surprisingly (at least to me) accurate mid-range J, great on putbacks, and will bring the hammer down on anyone at anytime (gotta love that accompanying team-wide energy boost ).

If this was the other way around, that thread would be locked up within 3 posts. Since this one was started by someone affiliated with OS, it will stay.

To quote a lot of mods and wannabe modes "is it that hard to use the search feature?"

my favorite bench guys are crawford and bledsoe for the clips. bledsoe can throw down big dunks and get steals, while crawford can score from outside all day. Klay Thompson and Gallinari also provide great shooting from long range. Tony Wroten and Perry Jones are good at taking the ball to the hoop for layups and dunks. Drummond is a good dunker and shot blocker off the bench.

Kyle Korver has been one of my favorites. 20-25 minutes a game and pretty much always dependable around the perimeter. I've also become a fan of Tyer Hansbrough. Bringing him off the bench for his rebounding in crucial moments helps due to his high freethrow rating for a post player.
