Anyone trying to justify the giants being that low is simply wrong. Opinions can only go so far before they become total bs. Saying Giants shouldnt be in the top 5 falls under that bs opinion category.

Youre not much of a fan if you disqualify everyone I just mentioned cause of one player...WRONG!

The 17 players rated 99 was weak sauce too. Only thing looking accurate so far is the Asstros

Luckily someone will chop these rosters up shortly after release, but I never understood why sports games are always lacking in ratings (tending to overrate - especially the major teams). It's the same with them all.

Hopefully created players don't all bat the same this year...
Yankees defense is actually one of the best so check your stats.

fangraphs had them in the bottom 3rd last year. please tell me who they picked up that jumped them 22 spots. If you dont like fangraphs please show me "your stats" that have them at the top

3rd in least amount of team errors. Those are"my" stats. Do a bit more research yourself before you start challenging people and their source

Team errors? The extension of player errors and fielding percentage?

From about the point Trout was called up, they led or were at the top of the league in most offensive categories and I believe wins.

To say they only have Trout and Trumbo going for them is absurd but this thread has been full of absurdity.

That is like saying Freddy Sanchez is a better hitter than Albert Pujols because he had a higher batting average.

Yup. Now they added Josh Hamilton and will have Trout all season. Their lineup led the league in WAR despite the horrific April. They can mash with the best of them, steal bases, go 1st to 3rd, draw walks. Their offense is multidimensional top to bottom.

What I like about the lineup is it's balanced and they've got some flexibility. Still worried about Bourjos in center, but he's as good of a CF as there is, including Trout, and he can run, so if he just gets on a little, he's an ideal 9th hitter in the A.L.

Depth is a concern for me, and I am curious to see how the starting pitching plays out. I actually like Garrett Richards and Brad Mills as back of the rotation guys if Hanson and Blanton flame out. If Hanson is over his back issues, that could quietly be one of the better moves of the offseason.

Back of the bullpen should be better, and lets face it, their early woes last year are what derailed that team. Still a little worrysome, but hopefully they are more consistent. Still a big fan of Frieri.

lol, you know AL is tough when 7 of the top 14 teams in the entire MLB ranked in that power rankings, are from only 2 divisions.

Why? It actually happened. Jays fans complained they were "only" #5.

# 298 MLB Bob @ 02/24/13 10:02 PM
so what? Its peoples opinion, no need to constantly bring it up after it stopped. I was pretty much attacked and I didnt even suggest they were better. I think its just being rude at this point

I only remember 1 person doing that, and other Jays fans bashed them for saying it.

I did say it myself that Jays should have been higher in ONE category(that was defense, since they were a top 15 team in fielding% last year, yet rated near the bottom 5 in MLB 13), but that the OVERALL rating they were in MLB13 was fine.

If it's so what and other peoples opinions then why do you care what I posted? Or what Slab posted?

And no, you were not "attacked".
