He was 3rd in MVP voting and 4th in PER behind lebron, KD and CP3. He also went 4 games shooting 60 percent from the field while averging 40 points.(mostly jumpshots which makes it even more crazy).

For jr and wade you have points. but considering heat won again wade isnt going to be bumped too much. jr would be fine if they had a inconsistent sig skill. but yea
JR Smith flat out sucked in the series against Indiana. He sucked so bad, he could have won sixth man of the year for the Pacers. If he's still in the 80's, then that will be a crime.

Anthony Bennett at 76 is a huge reach.

That comes with being a number 1 pick, Im surprised he is not 80 overall. Maybe the nba forces 2k to overrate the number 1 pick? That wouldnt be a shock for me.

Im sure if zeller was the 1st pick he would be 76 and bennet at 4 68-70

Anybody knows what rating hasheem thabeet was the year he was drafted?

No more than it is for defensive specialist Victor Oladipo..

I'm happy with it

Uh, the two ratings are slightly different in the video (80) and here. Plus, not everyone stays on this website to see that screenshot yet plenty of people are following 2K or Ronnie on twitter.

The rookies "inflated" ratings will come back down to a more realistic level once the season starts. This draft is considered weak, so the rookies should have been rated (IMO) lower (out of the box) to accomplish that.

In my opinion, the pick is a huge reach, too.

I saw Anthony Bennett play against my Cal Bears in the tourney. Nothing he did stood out to me like a #1 pick or a 76 rated NBA player. A mid-to-high 70's rated big like say, Carl Landry would destroy in the NCAA.

Not that he can't develop but he'd be like a 68-71 with good potential upside in my book.

I also don't see why they have to rate players that high just for being low picks considering it's widely acknowledged that this is the weakest draft in years.

How long did it take for ratings of players like T-Rob, Fab Melo, Rivers, and Sullinger to drop last year?

They do actually. It's called the consistency rating.

They should have an Easily Distracted sig skill though. JR's performance should drop every time a Rihanna song plays during timeouts.

Evan Turner is a 76, via Ronnie.

91 for Westbrook is a slight dip right?

76 for Turner I think that is the same.

PF/C's get dinged if their strength and rebounding and post defense is not high. I believe Zeller falls into that category for now. Most of the lottery picks will be high 60's to mid 70's. I expect McLemore to be rated the highest at 77, but I am expecting Oladipo, CJ McCollum or McLemore to end up with the highest rating end of season.

I wanna know what they rate jrue holiday seeing he was my favorite player on the sixers before they traded him -__-

Also PER slightly favours players who attempt more shots, if your looking for an overall stat WS/48 would probably be a bit better than PER.
Yea I only brought up his 43 percent shooting to show he improved his shooting this year. To 45. An yea I hear you. I don't like PER much but before this season that was a big Knock on melo. And this year he improved that

Not defending jr but yea he was terrible after the terry elbow leading into the pacers series. But I believe the last month before the playoffs he was averaging something like 20 ppg and 6 Rebs on 49 percent and 41 from three. 2k does go more by normal season play for ratings so I wouldn't be surprised if he was a 80 plus. He also is an underrated rebounder. He is second in the league at his position for rebounding.

Nope Westbrook was an 90 in the last update. One point bump. And turner was dropped by a lot. I believe he was a 80
Something in the last update. 82 I believe

If he plays like he does in real life I don't care what PG's overall is.

# 79 sactown_13 @ 09/12/13 03:08 PM
Ratings will change. And don't get me wrong, I am a fan of bennetts game, But having his rating only 5 points below hibbert gasol and lopez is a bit ridiculous.

But don't 2K know that there is already a completely objective way to calculate consistency? You just take their average FG% over the whole season and calculate the mean standard deviation (MSD). The bigger the standard deviation (away from the mean), the lower the consistency. They could even make it more accurate by adding consistency stats based on the MSD for every single shot, including shots like layup, post fade, post hook etc.
Yeah, you'd think this would be one of the easiest attributes to rate with the data available.
