NBA 2K14 News Post

Looking for the best legendary college hoops roster for NBA 2K14? SELLAZ32, SHH4UA and VTCRB have created it for the 360 version. Please read all of the details below and let us know what you think!

IMPORTANT
***- If you are connected to Xbox Live, the game WILL FREEZE during the team selection process IF you wait for the team info to cycle past the lineups. The game is trying to retrieve online stats data and will crash. No way around this at this stage. To be safe, I simply disconnect from Live. But as long as you are conscious of this and don’t let the screen sit too long, it’s fine. How long is too long? When it freezes it’s been too long...***

I told myself there's no way I'm buying 2k14. I have held strong for 6 months...

I've seen this project and kept tabs on it. But I have 2k8 with updated rosters and can roll with that.

But then you guys kept adding teams...Still held my ground.

Then you dropped the "One Shining Moment" video...Crap, felt weak in the knees...

Today, Xbox dropped the digital download for 2k14 to $30...Final straw!!

Now I have so much work to do...

1. Pick 32 of your already completed 44 teams.
2. Find a piece of paper and cut it into 32 equal parts.
3. Write down a team name on each of those pieces.
4. Find a hat and put all the teams in it.
5. Find another piece of paper and draw up a bracket with 16 on each side.
6. Draw from the hat and fill in the bracket.
7. Play each game(all 31 of them) and determine who is the greatest team.

And then, once all the teams are released I have(get) to do it all over again but with a full 64 team bracket.

I hope you guys are happy with what you have done to me...I will no longer be able to finish Borderlands 2, I will never be able to raise the Cup in my NHL 13 season, and I will never win that elusive Online Dynasty NCAA title...

But I say Thank You!!!

Glad we could mess up your plans. LOL. Seriously though we hope you enjoy the Roster. Will you be making a BLOG or a THREAD detailing HOW your Tournament goes? I would be very interested to follow. I can post it on the 1st Post of the Thread as well. Just let me know. If you can post LINK in thread that would probably be easiest and other Users could follow as well.

I will see what I can do... No promises, but I'm going to give it a shot... Thing is, I don't have a ton of time and it may take a while to get through it... Stay tuned...

Well...There are still a ton of teams needing to be finished on the primary roster. But if we keep going with this we could easily create another file. Who knows? There are still a lot of slots for teams left though too.

Alright, I feel as though I'm starting to get really greedy. Not only am I itching to run with LMU, '90 Georgia Tech, both classic UCLA teams, and finally the '99 Auburn Tigers, but Playmakers has me excited about a classic Terps squad. Excellent write up on Len Bias and those mid '80s teams they had. I'm patiently waiting over here lol

Wasn't there a demo version you guys had for ps3? What is the most recent file you have for ps3 so far? Reason I'm asking is that PSN has 2k14 on a discounted price this week.

Nah..we had a 5 team demo for 2k13 on 360...unless somebody had ported it way back when. As far as I know there hasn't been a version up for ps3.

Oh ok. Yeah that 5 team version for 2k13 got ported to the PS3, I remember downloading it. I thought there might have been a 2k14 demo somewhere along the way too. No worries, I'll wait.

I had ported the 2k13 demo over to PS3. If 2kshare is still up, you can find it under PSN ID pmyers79.

Also, I like Playmakers' suggestion of an Aguirre/Cummings DePaul team. The '80 and '81 teams were similar, both finishing the season ranked #1 and then losing in the second round of the tournament. But the '80 team has a better resume with Aguirre averaging close to 27 ppg, a stronger SOS, and the team they lost to (UCLA) made it to the championship game.

The '87 team with Rod Strickland and Kevin Edwards was also a fun team, but lost to LSU in the Sweet 16.

If any of these teams make the cut, I can dig up some info on the players.

Ok, got around to playing last night... Had the Iverson led Hoyas come into Pauley Pavillion to play my 95 UCLA Bruins... Used the sliders that go with this roster but played on All-Star... 20 lead changes in this game... I focused on Iverson and let the other players try to beat me.

Victor Page stepped up. He finished with 22 and Nichols added 18. Iverson was 8-22 and 2-8 from deep. He finished with 20 points. Harrington fouled out late.

On UCLAs side, the O'Bannon brothers combined for 47, 25 for Ed... Bailey had 15, Zidek chipped in 10 and 3 blocks... UCLA won it 88-81...Game played really well...

Looking forward to more fun matchups...

First off - I don't work for Amazon, but I bought the PC version of NBA 2K14 for only $4.99 the other day. It is a digitial download through Steam. So, wondering if this LEGACY could also be something that is downloadable through the PC? Also, I'm willing to assist anyway I can though I'm not a computer genius. I do have the 2k8 and NCAA 09 versions of the College games and could extract data on certain players if needed.

Thanks for considering the 98-99 Auburn Tigers. One of my fav teams of All-Time. Can't wait to play with them.

Try a season mode instead. Should be a go.

Well...for one thing it is NOT association ready. There are a lot of things that may go wrong. But yes..season mode should work...even though the teams haven't been closely sim tested.

I take it there is no way to make these rosters available for online play? Even between friends?

No, you can't play with edited rosters or created teams online. I so wish you could though.
