MLB 14 The Show Available As Day 1 Digital Download Available to Download Now (PS4)

MLB 14 The Show will be available as a Day 1 digital download at 12:01 AM EST on May 6th. (SEE UPDATES BELOW) Similar to how users were able to download the PS3 version, expect it to be available at that time, give or take a few minutes.

It doesn't appear as though you will be able to pre-download, as some hoped with the latest PlayStation update. VG24/7 noted Watch Dogs will be the first game available for pre-download, releasing on May 27th.

UPDATE: As of 10:30 AM EST, the game is still not available to download.

UPDATE #2: Due to unforeseen technical issues, MLB 14 The Show for PS4 is not currently available for download via the PlayStation Store. All parties are working as quickly as possible to remedy the issue. We�ll update this post as soon as a resolution is reached. Thank you for your continued patience.

UPDATE #3: Based off of the many responses, the download should be available for everyone now.

Man that sucks, so you guys had to wait alllll night until 12pm today. Then you have to wait to download the game. Then the patch. and then you have a nice install waiting for you.

Once this 5GB thing finishes downloading, I will be able to play an exhibition game while the remaining 40 GB is downloading?

The download was humming along at first. It has really slowed to a crawl in the last 10 mins.

You will go into the menus. You still have to wait for the teams to finish downloading as well.

FYI for anyone who might have had the issue I just had...

My Issue- The download button was there but when I clicked it it popped up the next screen but quickly went back to the screen with the download button, thus not downloading.

The "fix" - Go to Games, then new games, then New this month...click the show and then the same screen with download button will appear but this time when you click download it actually works. Apparently you have to be in the "New This Month" section to download.

Hope that helps! I almost blacked out when I STILL couldn't get it to download lol

how do u guys check the downloading speed? i only see time remaning and the amount already downoaded

I'm assuming that you don't have to launch the game to download the remaining 40gb? DL is started, but need to go back to work.

I just look at how much it goes up and thats what you get per second.

**** there's some condescending dicks on here...get over yourselves. Sure there's a bunch of whiners...I was laughing at them too (to myself cause I'm not an a-hole) but I think it's pretty just people got fed up after it took 12 additional hours to get something they've been looking forward to for ages...I even called in and asked for a refund at 1145 am just because I knew I could just go to the futureshop and play sooner....obviously it started working 15 minutes later but that's the luck of the draw...

Finally got it to start the download. I think my problem was I have two PS4 and for some reason neither was activated as primary..but at least it works..
