WWE 2K15 Cover Athlete is John Cena - Announcement Video Included

Stephanie McMahon and Hunter Hearst Helmsley just announced on WWE RAW that John Cena will be the cover athlete for WWE 2K15. We should start hearing more about the actual game fairly soon.

UPDATE: We have just added the official WWE 2K15 cover announcement video. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any gameplay footage.

WWE 2K15 ships on October 28th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

The new 15 time champion is on the cover of 2K15. Makes sense I guess.

Of course we saw this coming but really didn't want it to happen. I would have been fine had this been back when Cena was Thuganomics Cena or even early into where he changed his gimmick. Probably nostalgia talking though.

Side note: Can Kane become a champion again...please!?

That cover is terrible, but I'm not going to buy the game based on the cover. Can't wait until they start showing off screenshots.

That's it, I'm not buying it.

Only if the mechanichs change drastically on PS3, i would buy it, but given that all the improvements are next gen, I will pass on this one and I will stay with 13 and 2K14

Probably more of a 2K decision wanting the big name guy on the cover,like getting Lebron and now Durant for NBA 2K.

But I guess that cover all but confirms WWEs logo change.

Surprisingly this is his first solo cover after 10 years on top in WWE. He shared a bunch of them. It doesn't bother me he is on the cover he is the biggest full time star they have so he should be on the cover.

Not at all surprised by this cover. John Cena is WWE's poster boy for just about everything. It seems fitting that he be the cover athlete for their video game as well.

Anyways, the cover is irrelevant. I couldn't be more excited for this game. 2K Sports and Visual Concepts have huge plans for WWE 2K15, especially on the next-gen consoles. The same technology currently being used to develop this years NBA 2K15 is also being used for WWE 2K15.

For those who know how visually stunning next-gen NBA 2K14 is, this is fantastic news. Wrestling fans, you're in for an absolute treat.

To be fair, the question wasn't "How many solo covers has John Cena had", it was "how many covers has he been on". So technically, he was ON all those covers lol.
