WWE 2K15 Cover Athlete is John Cena - Announcement Video Included

Stephanie McMahon and Hunter Hearst Helmsley just announced on WWE RAW that John Cena will be the cover athlete for WWE 2K15. We should start hearing more about the actual game fairly soon.

UPDATE: We have just added the official WWE 2K15 cover announcement video. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any gameplay footage.

WWE 2K15 ships on October 28th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Definitely a hideous logo. I expected something big and bold, this almost feels like a logo out of the 90's Attitude Era.

Anyway, I am a little underwhelmed by the cover as well. I expected Cena as he is the company posterboy, but the image is really lacking. I guess I expected something dynamic or at least with a little more styling to the photo itself. Everything 2K has put out in terms of visuals has a lot of grunge, noise and HDR-type effects, where as the Cena cover looks very natural - almost like a Dove commercial. It definitely does not fit with the visual stylings of the WWE & 2K's sports lines.

I like it. Was getting tired of the "cover athlete slowly melting away" look. Also this makes me wonder what Durant's cover will look like.

And yeah that logo sucks.

I guess I'm in the minority as well in thinking that the new WWE logo is really sharp. It invokes the shape and color scheme of the old logo, yet has a more modern styling and frankly is better representative of the cleaner WWE product nowadays than the more rough-around-the-edges product which existed during the Attitude Era.

Not surprised, understandable...it's funny though cause in some of those poses he looks like a Super Hero. Really it's the cover so not important to me.....is Lana going to be strutting across the stage in this joint? Now that's the important question, hell if so I can't see me ever skipping her or Rusev entrance

To add, I don't think the cover is subpar because of Cena being on it as I've openly said I like him.

It just looks like they threw a picture on a background and said "Yep, looks good".

Yeah, it's on the WWE Network. It doesn't change the fact that it looks like crap.

Also dig the new logo... a little bit cleaner and more "serious" looking in my lowly opinion.

Probably looking too far ahead, but hoping it leads to a tweaked WWE title. Curious to see how it would look with the tweaked logo.

I actually really like the logo. I don't like it next to the "2k15" though. It looks jarring with those 2 things side-by-side in my opinion

I have no problem with Cena on the cover, he has been the face of WWE for quite some time now. I do hate the new WWE logo though.
