A lot of folks were dead wrong on this, myself included. YES! Chaos!

Wanted to be pissed off, then I read the article.

It's obvious his hometown means the world to him. Can' t knock a man for that.

Awesome article. Really shows a different side we haven't seen much of from Lebron. I hope he can win one here in Clevland. I know it's a big battle, but the biggest battles give the biggest rewards!

Welcome home Lebron. LETS-GO-CAVS!

Well I can't say I wanted him to go back, would rather he stay in Miami but it's his decision and I'm sure it's the right one for him. Extremely classy way to announce the return, hope he enjoys success there.

So does Chris Sheridan get props for calling this a few days ago???

I'm not sure I've actually processed this yet.

I was eagerly anticipating a decision in hopes of it putting all the corny jokes about LBJ taking his time by amateur Twitter comedians to rest. Then I quickly realized they would transition into bandwagon fan jokes.

Acting like the NBA hasn't always been a league full of fans who cheer for individuals instead on specific teams.

Oh well, good for Cleveland. You are allowed 1 title while Boston still sucks. After that you all can take a hike.

Is that the guy that guaranteed it would be on LeBron's site?

Have you noticed he doesn't mention Wiggins?

Will the Cavs go back to the "Lebron era" jersey? Really hope so cause those were best jerseys the Cavs had.

I don't think LeBron could have done a better job writing that essay…well done and it's clear that he's really changed and matured as a person.

Seeing highlights with the blue jerseys that say Cavs on the front makes this ok to me

No because he was clueless

Posted this in the now closed LBJ thread:

What an awesome story. Glad to see LeBron bucking trends and not always doing what he's "supposed" to do. Congrats Cleveland!

So....I read the essay. Really touching. I can't blame him at all for wanting to "go home" if it is that important to him. So good for him. I am glad. If that makes him feel whole as a human being I can't fault the guy for wanting to do what his heart tells him.

We (Heat fans) got 4 years of the best basketball we may ever see in our lives. Be thankful and wish Lebron well.

Congrats to all the Cav's fans and good luck!
