The Old Town Flyers Will Get a New Park Soon in NBA 2K15

Way back in October, 2K Sports announced full details for the NBA 2K15 MyPARK mode. In the press release and livestream, they mentioned the affiliation winning the most Rival Days across all platforms would receive a newly designed home park.

	The MyPARK Championship: Beginning October 11 and lasting through the weekend preceding the NBA All-Star game, the MyPARK Championship will pit all three affiliations against one another in weekly rounds of competition. Earn points that count toward the MyPARK Championship, where the winning affiliation will receive a newly designed home park!

Today they have announced the NBA 2K15 MyPARK Champions are the Old Town Flyers and a new park is coming soon for them.

Wow guys. I know bragging rights are a thing, but this is a little over board. I'm not a mod, but I am of the opinion you should hash out your personal beef via private messages.

The jumpshot claims are ludicrous. I believe you need to look at it this way: when you go to shoot a jumper, the command tells the game to roll a die. Let's say it's a 60 sided die for sake of argument.

It looks at the result in terms of: if the Random number is between say 25 and 60, it's a make. Below 25 is a miss. It takes into account multiple things yo determine this(Defensive Pressure, jump shot rating, release. And even mechanics) to determine and define what numbers constitute a "Make" and what constitutes a "Miss". Sometimes the die just doesn't go your way. I've had days where I seem like I could chuck that ball full court every shot and drain it. There's days I can't hit to save my life. This is just how the die rolls. Just because you have maxed out 3s, with a boost, and all of the badges it does not EVER mean you're guaranteed to make a shot. It means the game will give you every possible benefit it can, but it guarantees nothing.

There's not a shooter alive that hits every shot. Even the best don't usually average a high %. So that silly argument that the shooting for the ballers got nerfed because you can't hit a shot is preposterous. The reason the flyer dude hit it your grill is that he just happened to land a lucky roll. If he hit multiple times, he should go to the casino, because luck is on his side.

I admit there were some sketchy weeks, but absolutely not for the reasons you guys keep arguing about and ruining threads over.

As a day 1 flyer, I'm happy we won, and I feel like we deserved it after struggling and putting the work in. Would it have mattered if we didnt? Nope. Old town is the best looking park IMO. The sunset lens flare bothers me, and rivet city reminds me too much of my old school yards. I just hope the new court is unique, and not just one of the others with a paint job.

I'm feeling ya. I'm a Flyer since day one and are excited for the new park, but if it wasn't for the crown, I would become a Rough Rider right away. I'm always cheering for the underdog.

Thanks mom, sorry our banter got in the way of your 60 sided die analogy. I think you should leave your algorithm theories to the professionals at 2K.

It's crazy that the already best park (aesthetically), in my opinion of course, is getting another. 2K should have created a open-to-all (no affiliation limitations) park as a reward to it's entire player base. But please, continue to segregate us and perpetuate animosity towards one another.

I agree, I really wanted RR to get the new Park. They needed it more. I'm gonna miss our old Park.

Not in the capacity of 'just for fun'. I know of people that don't purchase VC and only use what they get through MyCareer & Park. Every winning VC goes right into bettering their MyPlayer. Maybe if there was a VC Share function I could play with them in "The Stage".

The OP was talking about using that 4th Park as a neutral ground. Wouldn't it be nice to meet up with the guys you play "The Stage" with and get more in tune with each other?

And I mean neutral. No Rep rank up, no VC. Just hoops.

I'm glad we didn't win. That park park OK...it's never seems full like the other two, it's night time. Who plays basketball in the middle of the night on a park? Idk I still think the ballers have the best looking park. Sometimes it's more flyers playing on the court than ballers! I'm thankful we lost lol
