NBA 2K15 News Post

NBA 2K15 patch #4, which arrived on March 12th for PlayStation 4 users, is available now for Xbox One users. It weighs in at 2.5 GB.

The patch primarily addresses the shoe issues in the game, more specifically in MyCAREER mode. You can see the workaround here. Once the patch notes are finally released, we will update this post.

Let us know what you are seeing.

UPDATE: The patch notes have been released.
  • Addressed an issue where purchased, created shoes in the MyPLAYER Store would revert to the unpurchased state upon leaving the menu.
  • Upon signing an endorsement deal with a shoe company in MyCAREER, shoes from that brand will once again be wearable by your MyPLAYER.
  • (XB1) Online games will no longer disconnect during gameplay when one or more users had minimized the title and returned while sitting on the Team Select screen prior to playing.
  • Made a number of improvements to the player progression/regression systems that drive player ratings in MyGM/MyLEAGUE/MyCAREER.
  • Fixed a rare case where the user team would trade for the upcoming pick mid-draft (MyGM/MyLEAGUE), but the team that traded away the pick would retain the rights to the player.
  • Fixed an issue where some users were unable to access specific Online Leagues.
  • Removed “auto-hesitation” dribble animations that played when driving near defenders. Smoothed out the sprint to jog transition in the back court.
  • Tuned shot percentages for a more obvious distinction between open and covered shots. Slight increase to contact dunk frequency for high level dunkers.
  • Corrected an issue in MyTEAM where improved player badges were not appearing in the correct color when viewing a head-to-head game. The correct badge level with appropriate gameplay adjustments are now being made.
  • The ‘Bruiser’ and ‘Hardened’ badges will now unlock properly in MyCAREER when the appropriate conditions are met.
  • Fixed a rare case where some users would occasionally see the title hang during the series of legal screens at the start of the game.
  • (XB1) Corrected an issue where Park Chat through the My NBA 2K15 app would not work for some users.
  • (XB1) Fixed an issue where a user’s gamertag would not update in the Roster Creator interface when the gamertag was changed outside of the title.

NOTE: All patch fixes will work in your existing game mode saves.

I can't wait to see the notes. It's my favorite part not knowing exactly what they changed.

DL took me under 45 minutes on what I would say is a slow connection. I play on SS and it's very competitive. Played a few games and the only issues I have is just how stupid my teammate AI is/ are on offense and defense. Like when I run an ISO and they float into the lane and screen me from a drive to the basket. And on defense they still have improper switching. But it seems really bad. Mostly dumb basketball.

Very competitive from what I've seen. I know PS4 users complained about a few things. Haven't come across those yet. I'm working on King of Euro's and Spin Lay in and I did notice a lot of missed lay ups. But they could have been considered contested causing close misses, which I like.

I also unlocked a few badges that should have unlocked a long time ago. I really like that.

Park is extremely smooth now. I need to double check it during peak hours, but in a room with all 8 courts going at once it was as simple as pressing A and your MyPlayer was on a Got Next circle. And load times between games was seconds.

Very nice change of pace. Hopefully we start seeing a lot fewer 'dead' courts due to people leaving due to long wait times freezing the court.

Thru 2 games i can say that Shooting %'s are alot Higher. I am testing Strictly CPU vs CPU.

Played three online ranked games...Using the Pacers, but I didn't make any manual changes to POE or defensive settings.

1) Gameplay is WWAAAAAYYYYY smoother. They took out a lot of the herky, jerky motions which makes pulling off dribble moves cleaner and more crisp. I actually feel that I can break down the defense with George Hill now.

2) Noticeable decrease in fouls being called when you attack the rim.

3) Gameplay speed looks like it's been increased.

4) AI seems do a better job at executing plays. I got some very open looks after calling some plays.

5) Love that there is no hesitation by the ball handler when you attempt a fastbreak, PLUS you don't get sucked into body contact animations when a defender is close by.

6) On the flip side, it's easier to defend fastbreaks, because you're not "stuck" to an offensive player. I was actually able to disengage from the offensive player to try for a behind block or get a better angle for a block.

7) On the ball defense is still a hit and miss as far as sliding is concern, but the controls are way more responsive.

8) Feels good to actually take an open jumper and feel that you can hit it. In my small sample, there seemed to be a good mix of makes and misses. I didn't feel like God on the perimeter, but I wasn't complaining about how many shots I missed either.

9) They took out a lot of the goofy big men animations when they attempt shots underneath the baskets. The bigs are going up strong with ball.

10) On another flip side, I swear they tweaked how aggressive bigs defend the paint. I noticed that Hibbert was VERY active in defending the rim and contesting shots. For the first time all year, I GENUINELY felt that I had a true rim protector underneath the basket. Good news for Pacers users, lol.

Open bonus was applied to CPU and user Beluba said that. So I expect if the CPU is running more plays to get open shots more shots will be made.

Can we please get clarification on the regression fixes in MyLeague..

Originially we were told that we need to start a new MyLeague for the regression fixes to take place.

However, these patch notes say that all fixes work with existing saves. Does this mean that I DO NOT have to restart a Myleague for the regression bug to be fixed?

Please let us know and thank you for the patch notes!!

Can someone explain to me what this is ???

"(XB1) Online games will no longer disconnect during gameplay when one or more users had minimized the title and returned while sitting on the Team Select screen prior to playing."

What is this ???

This might be what is causing the PS4 disconnects during online ranked matches ?? This was not in the PS4 notes.

Anyone notice this in the notes?I believe it was beluba who said that the regression gix didn't apply to old files
