NBA 2K16 News Post

2K has just revealed the first NBA 2K16 digital short, titled Stephen Curry: Beyond the Shadows. The video showcases some of the first looks at NBA 2K16 gameplay.

The video chronicles the inspiring history of NBA superstar and cover athlete Steph Curry’s rise to dominance. Narrated by Spike Lee, the montage of gameplay and true life footage showcases Curry’s journey from being drafting by the Golden State Warriors to winning the 2014-15 NBA Championship.

This video is the first in a three part series focusing on the life story of NBA 2K16’s cover athletes, complementing this year’s #BeTheStory MyCAREER narrative.

We snipped out all of the NBA 2K16 footage from the video here, if you want to take a look.

NBA 2K16 will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on September 29. If you pre-order at participating North American retail and online vendors, you get it on September 25, along with in-game bonuses.

They're being extremely stingy with the gameplay this year. Sheesh.. The game comes out next month

Nothing "new" came from this that we haven't already received. All in all 2K is just building hype for release.

I guess this is a unique way to promote the be the story mode but I want more in game highlights, you almost have to play it in slow motion to catch the gameplay clips.

When will they finally eliminate this hunchback festival? Sheesh it's been feeling like Notre Dame the video game since forever.

Other than that the snippets look okay i guess.

Correct, footage from yesterday could be considered old. You know what I meant. Old build as in older than the one we've already seen footage of.

Well, his sig shot looked nice. Almost looked like the net physics were a bit better but it's hard to tell.

I don't agree with the net physics. They almost looked as stiff as I've ever on a 2K. (From the deep 3pt shot Vs. Cavs)

Of course you don't.

Defense is still non-existent smh Players still just standing around unaware of what's going on. Shumpert was 20 feet away from Curry and instead of running towards him with a hand up, he does a baby hop forward as if he has any chance of blocking the shot. Idk how to feel about this lol
