Byron Jones looks fun though with

91 Speed
94 Acceleration
97 Agility
99 Jump
77 Man
85 Zone
80 Press

Pretty high marks across the board considering the speed global speed tuning.

Romo has a 89 thp, 92 Short Throw, 93 Medium, 78 Deep, 86 Play Action, 83 Throw on the Run.

Josh Gordon is on the game... hopefully he won't be usable in any online matches.
Yeah, those Str ratings r ridiculous. Frederick was a BEAST lifting at Wisconsin & he's only gotten Stronger. They shouldnt be basing OL Str off the combine reps of 225. Thats muscular endurance, NOT true Strength/Power....
and Joseph Randle only get 83 speed!?!? GTFOH

Tyron Smith deserves 95+ strength... players have routinely said that once he gets his hands on you you're done.

Yeah Randle deserves at least 86, his acceleration should be even higher! He picks up speed quick.

The speed ratings in this game are horrendous. Young players and rookies have high speed and veterans are penalized by having reduced speed. What a joke.

Also.... Devin Funchess ran a 4.7 at the combine & a 4.5 at pro day, about the SAME AS Joseph Randle (whom I GUARANTEE is quicker, Especially after cutting a few lbs n lookin faster theb ever) but Funchess w/89Spd is faster then Randle AND his teammate Ted Ginn Jr. 88Spd (ran 4.28-4.4)

A lot of guys in the NFL played different positions, not buying into this logic. So lets bump them up too.

He shouldn't be bumped on a few catches and not touch guys who do it all year.

I don't know man. He was catching one handers on Hardknocks from a jug machine. Never dropped one. Right and left handed. I think the dude really has good hands.

Not doubting he is good in front of the jug, but how is he with bracket coverage, a corner on him or a defensive coordinator keying on him.

There are guys in Madden who run sub 4.4s with 85 speed is my issue, but they can find time to hype JJ is my problem.

Right there with you on the speed thing. As far as Watt goes, I don't think they made him a route runner or anything. Just gave him 78 catch.

The speed is a mystery to me. I can't figure out what they are basing the lower numbers on.

What I have been noticing is the guys on defense with the speed comparable to the offensive skill players, their Agility will be significantly lower. Like their 89 speed at LB might seem great, but looking at AGL it will be something like 74. So I am not too up in arms over the speed thing, if the AGL and ACC is low than it won't matter. Though, it does seem weird some guys were scaled drastically from last year and some weren't at all.

I gotta see how the new ratings play out when I have the game, even with new issues that may occur from these partially scaled rosters, I still think the positives outweigh the negatives. Madden needed to do something new with the ratings for once, it's baby steps, but a step in the right direction. Maybe next year more of the 0-99 scale will be used, and the rest of the individual attributes will be scaled.

i guarantee 9/10 lineman in the NFL can do that. they been playing football all their lives i think they can all catch footballs from a jug machine...

# 132 BleedGreen710 @ 08/16/15 08:42 AM
what i dont like about these ratings is that at first glance it seems they lowered speed on all the players, which wouldn't be a bad thing at all. but then you have guys who still have the same speed from last year. and its like, why nerf reggie bush and desean jacksons speed by nearly 10 points but leave other guys speed ratings alone? it makes no sense

# 133 ABR173rd @ 08/16/15 09:52 AM
While I'll agree some of these players have dropped off, after a quick glance K.Vaccaro is a 77 overall and Jahri Evans is a 78 and Keenan Lewis is an 80- but Zach Strief is an 85 overall??? I'm hoping this file is extremely old...or corrupt

Trent Richardson has 87 speed, 89 acceleration and 84 agility. Even with scaled ratings that still seems way too high for him LOL

Basing veteran player ratings off of NFL combine results from years past is honestly the dumbest thing I've heard. Players get stronger, faster, quicker, smarter, slower, dumber, etc...after the combine. Many players dedicate themselves once they make the pros to strive to me faster or stronger, while others regress and relax because they "made it".

There are many examples of flawed ratings on this spreadsheet. I have several complaints on my Cowboys team, but will only post the ones that bother me the most:

-Randle speed, he was noticeably faster than Murray last year, but Murray has a significant advantage to speed over Randle. Dumb

-Dez Bryant's strength - He should be top 5 at the very minimum in strength. Every play has to be a gang tackle just to bring him down.

Eric Berry with 65 injury is a disgrace. Dude beat cancer in 7 months, has had 1 injury in the NFL. (not counting cancer)
But yeah bottom 3 inj rating in the game... smh

# 140 sammy watkins @ 08/17/15 09:18 PM
To add to what everyone is saying. I think Richard Sherman has like the 12th highest man coverage rating in the game.

These are honestly the worst Madden ratings ever. Such crap.
