Forza Motorsport 6: New Modding and Player Leveling Features Announced

Forza Motorsport 6 is adding a couple of new features to its bag of tricks: a prize system, and a new mods feature.

Player Leveling

Leveling up in Forza is accomplished by finishing races which earns you both credits and experience points. Every time you level up you will get a chance to earn an in-game prize -- similar to the prize spinner that was originally introduced in Forza Horizon 2.The prizes offered vary: in-game credits, a variety of a brand new cars that will be added to their garage, or Mod packs you can add to your growing collection.

Mods

Mods are designed to bring a new layer of depth, challenge, and fun to the career and free play races where mods are available to use. Mods give the player the chance to affect the race, be it through adding additional challenges, to changing the handling of the car, or offering additional bonuses at the end of a race.

Mods create a risk/reward system to encourage experimentation with higher difficulty assist settings. They are game modifiers which affect your races in a few different ways.

Dares challenge the player to get out of their comfort zone and perform with specific driving requirements that will test their skills.

Crews give the player a specific performance advantage during a race.

Boosts give the players an advantage during a race, or a bonus for performing well in a race.
