NBA 2K16 Adds '07-'08 Boston Celtics & '12-'13 Miami Heat to List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has added the '07-'08 Boston Celtics (previously revealed) and '12-'13 Miami Heat to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 8 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'12-'13 Miami Heat
'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

Two more teams will be revealed next Thursday.

Disappointed. We can actually make this team in NBA2K15...
It means we lost a classic team place... smh
05-06 Heats should be in the classic team list...

That heat group made the finals 4 years in a row I believe. Makes more sense to have a team that actually did something than the 07 rockets, etc.

At what point do we stop calling them classic teams? two years ago isnt classic. I have no problem with them being in but the title needs to change. All-Time Teams. Idk, most of you are more creative than I.

The '13 Heat is the greatest Heat team of All-Time but a bit too modern, it's too fresh in our memories. I'm still going to work with a 99 rated LeBron.

Guys the Suns and Pacers aren't going to be in the game don't get your hopes up. I rather see the '09 Cavaliers or '09 Lakers than any team with Reggie Miller. I don't understand the Miller hype.

Waste of a spot in my opinion. love the addition of this feature, but this is a lazy selection and I'm hoping they don't take another space up with another 12-13 squad to balance it out.
I know they were the champs and all, but with the remaining slots, I'm hoping 2k listen to us, and throw us some real classics 😉, I would really like to see a jKidd Nets, BDiddy Hornets or Big 3 Bucks squad in the mix.

The 97 or 00 heat teams wouldve been cooler to me than this heat squad. Although they did win 27 in a row but we can play with this squad on 2k13 smh.

I just don't see why they brought back a squad that was probably one of the most overly used teams in 2k history lol, Never mind the fact that we can basically make the team in 2k14 or 2k15, just a wasted slot IMO.

If that happens, then this will be the first time Charles Barkley has been on a team other than the Dream Team in a video game since probably the mid to late 90s.

Reggie hasn't been in one since 2005.

I'd say that's a long shot. You can hope for a miracle, I suppose.

Worst team selection ever to choose the 12-13 Heat over the 05-06 Heat. Wade and the gang came back from down 0-2 to win the FINALS and they don't get a spot in 2K?

Ridiculous.

I really hope they make it up by adding the 98-99 Knicks!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad choice bring back one of the most used teams from 2k11-2k14. This team is only one year removed from the game.
06 should have been a better heat team to add.

For all intents and purposes, he is retired. An official announcement isn't necessary to know a player isn't coming back.

I'm hoping we see the '04 T-Wolves, any of the early SSOL Suns teams, '07 Warriors, '01 Kings, '05 Heat, '03 Mavs, and/or one of the Reggie Miller Pacers squads for the remaining 4 spots.

EDIT: Just realized that Mavs team is already in. Nice.

Baron Davis hasn't appeared since 2012, but he wants to get back in the NBA,

Classic, retro, whatever, I won't be thinking about it when I'm playing....I'm just glad they are adding some new teams....not a fan of the 13 Heat as an addition, but I can see why they did...I'm just excited to see the next 4 squads...

Maybe now that they covered the 2000's....they'll focus in on another era in a later edition.....
