I have a feeling Ronnie2k messed his tweet up 2 hours before they announced these teams. He said "one of the most dominant offense teams of the last 15 years". The 04-05 Suns were 11 years ago, so they fit that description perfectly. The Heat were good on offense, but not "dominant". I have a feeling the Suns will be announced next week.

Nobody should doubt their greatness, but again, we can easily assemble this team. Because of this we'll miss out on prime amare, Kidd, garnet, ray Allen/big dog

Judging from the teams that were in 2K15, and 2K's pattern of having teams that played within 2-3 years apart of each other. Along with the rumors of a deal with TNT (Barkley optimist), here is my best guess at who the remaining 4 teams could be:

1992-1993 Suns
2000-2001 Kings make a return
2003-2004 Lakers with Malone and Payton
2004-2005 Suns
2005-2006 Heat
2008-2009 Lakers

One classic team I'd like to see added is the 1975-1976 Champion Celtics with Dave Cowens, John Havlicek, Jo Jo White and Paul Silas.

And I'm going to kill your Barkley dreams...it ain't happening man. He has voiced his displeasure with the NBA and their treatment of retired players a ton. And the only reason he did the Dream Team was because Jay-Z called him personally and convinced him to do it. And they ain't got TNT either, IMO. And if they do then they ain't marketing it properly. Look at EA and FIFA 15, when they got the EPL license. I can't tell you much that stuff was referenced in ads and teaser trailers, etc.

Still 4 teams left. I wouldn't be surprised to see the 01-02 or the 02-03 Nets included. Having a prime Jason Kidd would be awesome. Then you could put Jason Kidd on the Bucks so he's coaching himself. CRAZY.

Also, if we got the 02-03 Nets that would mean ANOTHER Dikembe. Upping his total to 4 different teams in 2k. Guy was on like every team in the NBA.

Fixed it

Would've preferred the 06 Heat instead of the 13 Heat but im still content with the inclusion of the team, even if they did play only 3 years ago

Please, please, please be Barkley's Suns. Please.

Bias aside, I can tell you from many many games playing with UBR that the 04-05 Suns are far and away the most fun team to play with. They NEED to be in this game.

Guys the Suns and Pacers aren't going to be in the game don't get your hopes up. I rather see the '09 Cavaliers or '09 Lakers than any team with Reggie Miller. I don't understand the Miller hype.

It's not so much about Miller, but the TEAMS he was on. His lack of consent is what is blocking the Pacers being in the game. As for the Suns, they have 4 different groups to choose from: the Westphal era from the '70s, the KJ/Chambers team from 89-90, the Barkley team from the early '90s, or the Nash-led SSOL squad from the '00s. Leaving the Phoenix Suns without a Classic team would be mocking NBA history.

Not just fix their ages and ratings, but also have different or altered player models from the ones already in the game.

This LeBron

Headband, different haircut and also his extremely messed up hairline that he recently addressed in some fashion last season, and no shoulder blades tattoos

Is different from this LeBron

Also hoping for the 25th season patch on the jerseys

The debate isn't that they are a great team. Its that they are so recent. You likely can very easily create them yourself with the create a team feature. Even the 08 Celtics is pushing it since im sure their starting five is in the game.

Its not really a big deal just a disappointing reveal for some people, but whatever I am happy with a lot of the other teams.

Wanting to come back and actually making a team are two different things. Davis' NBA career is obviously over. Sentiment doesn't trump reality.

MWP played internationally last year, which is a substantial difference from a player who did not play ANYWHERE for a full year.

I would like the 07-08 Denver Nuggets with Carmelo and Iverson

So far these additions are extremely lackluster. I know licensing plays a role but give us some more 90's and earlier teams.

Hopefully they at least focused on the already terrible next gen classics as others mentioned in other threads. If not, this whole mode will be a huge whiff.
My guess is that 2k's logic is that a team like the 12-13 Heat will eventually go down as one of the best teams of their generation, if not of all time. They are definitely focusing on some of the best teams and players of the last 15 years or so. A team like the 99-00 Raptors aren't exactly a legendary or classic team but players like Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady will be remember as two of the best from their time period.

Add every year that the San Antonio Spurs Won.
