NBA 2K16 Adds '04-'05 Phoenix Suns & '05-'06 Miami Heat to List of Classic Teams

2K Sports has just announced, on the GameStop Twitch livestream, they have added the '04-'05 Phoenix Suns and '05-'06 Miami Heat to the list of classic teams in NBA 2K16.

There will be 12 new classic teams added this year, 10 of them have now been confirmed.

Here is the list of confirmed classic teams so far:

'04-'05 Phoenix Suns
'05-'06 Miami Heat
'12-'13 Miami Heat
'03-'04 Detroit Pistons
'07-'08 Houston Rockets
'99-'00 Toronto Raptors
'07-08 Boston Celtics
'00-'01 Los Angeles Lakers
'02-'03 Dallas Mavericks
'99-'00 Portland Trail Blazers

The last two teams will be revealed next Thursday.

Very happy to see a Suns team but I wish it was one year later, but who am I to argue it's still a great addition and the 05-06 Heat are amazing too

Two Heat teams? Very happy to have the 15 strong team. Had to have the '05 Suns too, one of my favorites ever( I rooted for that team like crazy).

Chris Just Showed a Robert Horry Pic saying that Kings fans would hate it, no Love for the Kings! Maybe we might get a Classic Kings Team next week as a Surprise!

Nice! Gonna have fun with prime Amare running P&R and having Prime Wade/Shaq with the now announced ability to now have more standing dunks with post guys.

Would have preferred the 06 Heat team and the 13 Heat team's spot given up to a more 'historic' team in terms of years ago

But 06 Wade will be fun, as well as the Suns

Wanted the 2006 Heat and the 2005 Suns, so I am extremely happy. Now I just want either 2007 or 2009 Cavaliers and either the 2007 Spurs, 2008 Lakers, 2007 Warriors, and 2003 Nets. Really hoping for a Cavaliers team though.

Awesome! If you rearrange the teams in chronological order you can clearly see a pattern:

99-00 blazers
00-01 Lakers
01-02 ???????
02-03 Mavericks
03-04 Pistons
04-05 suns
05-06 heat
06-07 ???????
07-08 Rockets
07-08 Celtics
08-09 ???????
12-13 heat

My best guess is the 01-02 Team will be the Nets, maybe even the Kings, and they'll include the 09 championship lakers with kobe, pau, bynum, odom, fish, ariza. To pair up with the 08 Celtics.

This is some great news, and still have two more teams to reveal, hoping for a Spurs team and the Jason Kidd Nets.
