MLB The Show 16 Twitch Stream - Showtime & Road to the Show (Archive Available)

Sony San Diego is Twitch streaming MLB The Show 16 right now, as the team goes over the Showtime and Road to the Show modes.

Watch the stream here. For those of you that miss it, we will update this post with the archive.

UPDATE: The stream has completed, watch the archive here (it starts at roughly the 16:35 mark).

Some notes:

20-80 scale confirmed in Franchise mode
You CAN turn the Showtime feature on/off
New running styles are normal, lumbering, speedster and athletic
Over 600 new animations added, 100's more a dive specific
While running bases, hold L1 for a zoomed in view, L2 for a medium view
Oakley, EvoShield, and All Star are the new equipment brands
New Balance not in this year, maybe next year
No tattoos or face scanning in RTTS
You can view team uniforms in player editor

Joe Random the exact reason the NL wants to go to DH.

ShowTime looks good because there's an added difficulty to it. I'd almost prefer it not as a "cheat," but as a "mode" in itself. If throwing truly does seem that hard, it's almost better than things being automatic. I'm not saying we should get errors left and right, but much like a catch button it's visceral to have your attributes matter alongside your game skill.

There are going to be a few buffer spots in the YouTube video. Twitch made a few changes and it affected the way you download videos so I have to record it as it plays. Hopefully it doesn't get to bad.

I got nothing, black screen and no sound or video.. Guess I'll wait and watch the saved version after it is all done...

You can use the twitch app and set to audio only. That's what I'm doing.

Same one hand follow through animation for right handed hitters.

Doesn't look natural.

Not nitpicking at all (really, not stating it as a detriment or anything, just stating an observation), but I find the menu/navigation screens somewhat uninviting. There aren't many games that grab me with the menus though, and baseball tends to be dead-last with that more often for whatever reason.

Just thinking about "spending time" in the menus when doing franchise or RttS, and as naturally as it blends with a baseball vibe, I guess I'm sort of meh on it.

As with the announcing, I think I'm too used to their font now too lol.

Dang. I was hoping for something else different. Same overlays, graphics look identical...camera angles same. It seems the directonal batting got tweaked. Unfortunately, not impressed at all.

Generated players still look bad, in terms of hair and equipment.

Still seeing handle bar moustache guys wearing one batting glove.

I am sure the lighting and graphics will get "tone up" but let's be real...not much improvement. You can only put so much paint over something that needs to be redone.
