NHL 17 Adds World Cup of Hockey, Team Relocation, Many Customization Options & More

EA Sports has released their all-new NHL 17 Vision trailer, an inside look at the development of NHL 17.

The video includes a look at the customization options, celebrations, net battles and goalie animations, as well as the addition of the World Cup of Hockey.

I like that BaGM was referenced in such an early and otherwise fluffy promo, hopefully it means that the mode has received some much needed attention.

GameChangers, are these signature styles or all new goalie animations? I see 4 or 5 different signature styles/stances that could be applied to goalies throughout the NHL.

Can you or anyone comment on this?

I noticed they had a celebration with multiple people on the bench, hopefully we get full 5 man celebrations, and full team celebrations in overtime.

Yea where it has the more info screen at the very end, they show clips of more vibrant celebrations. Nice touch

I pray that they do what fifa did, let the user choose their celebration, then the rest of the team comes to you to celebrate.

Custom jerseys, custom arenas, relocate teams. Looks like they listened to fans who wanted that. *thumbs up* This trailer has me pretty excited not gonna lie but until I see gameplay I'm not gonna get my hopes up. But there look to be new animations and seems as if net front battles look to be back, which is awesome. Will Edmonton still be playing in Rexall Place in NHL 17 or will they probably wait and get the rights for Rogers Place?

Nah, it looks like another year of the same fake coaches they've had for a while now in Ultimate Team.

B. Fiddler is hockey's most famous fake coach.

They showed Joel Quenneville around the 9 sec mark, I hope they find a way to get coaches in there

I like how they said 'all three zones'. Lets hope that's true for neutral zone play.

I'd be more hopeful of that happening if they'd shown an in-game coach model. But that was a live-action shot of coach Q, so I'd guess we're probably still stuck with generic coaches in all modes, unless they're saving that announcement for later.

Lots to be excited about non-gameplay wise. Create and arena, team expansion in BeAGM, World Cup of Hockey and new animations. Until I see gameplay I'm not convinced but those changes to Be a GM just might make me purchase this. I've wanted a proper expansion and create an arena for so long
