NASCAR Heat Evolution Releases on September 13 For PC, Xbox One & PS4

NASCAR Heat Evolution is scheduled to release on September 13 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The first Toyota driver to cross the finish line in the 2016 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be the cover athlete for the game.

New NASCAR-Licensed Video Game Comes to Modern-Generation Platforms; Reveals Toyota Driver Cover Athlete Competition

Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR), NASCAR’s exclusive console simulation-style video game licensee, today announced the future of NASCAR gaming with NASCAR Heat Evolution – launching September 13, 2016. Marking the debut of the NASCAR video game series on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One, and also arriving on Windows PC, this new title will provide fans with a brand-new and authentic racing experience.

NASCAR Heat Evolution will immerse fans in the door-to-door excitement of stock car racing and allow users to live the experience of taking the checkered flag. Whether a casual or hardcore gaming fan, NASCAR Heat Evolution will dynamically adapt to any skill level and deliver a true-to-life racing experience. The new game will feature all of the top drivers, teams, and incredibly detailed tracks and environments, giving fans the opportunity to feel what it is like to be a racing legend.

Our commitment to the NASCAR community is to consistently deliver fun, engaging and high-quality NASCAR games to the market,” said DMR Chief Executive Officer Tom Dusenberry.

DMR, whose licensing agreement with NASCAR Team Properties runs through 2020, partnered with Monster Games to create NASCAR Heat Evolution, bringing more than 100 years of combined NASCAR games experience to the project.

DMR President Ed Martin said, “To deliver an all-new NASCAR game experience, we assembled an all-star team of NASCAR game experts and started with a clean sheet of paper. What the DMR and Monster Games teams have come up with is going to amaze NASCAR fans.”

From the same legendary team that created the critically acclaimed NASCAR titles NASCAR Heat and NASCAR: Dirt to Daytona, Monster Games has a clear vision for NASCAR Heat Evolution.

“The Monster Games team is thrilled to partner again with Tom, Ed and the Dusenberry Martin Racing team. We have been working on NASCAR Heat Evolution for 18 months and are excited about what we have created. From day one, our goal has been to deliver a fun, engaging and realistic racing game designed for NASCAR fans,” said Monster Games President Richard Garcia.

DMR has also partnered with Toyota, an Official NASCAR Partner, in a unique video game cover athlete competition. The first Toyota driver to cross the finish line in the 2016 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be the cover athlete of NASCAR Heat Evolution. Choosing a cover athlete from an on-track competition is a first in video game history. NASCAR Heat Evolution will mark the first time Toyota or any of their eligible drivers – Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Martin Truex Jr. – will be the face of a NASCAR video game. Toyota and DMR are developing an innovative in-game branding partnership that will elevate the racing experience for video game fans.

I'm definitely intrigued! I'm ready to see a little bit of it in action, but it's nice to get an official Nascar PS4 game.

Not being released worldwide? That's a shame. Not sure why in the digital age they still insist on only releasing certain games in certain regions

Could be a licensing thing... Could be that it's going to be released elsewhere, but they don't have a date yet.

Hoping we get a bit of dirt in this game as well. Even just having Eldora would be worth every penny.

Meh... given their track record, I'm in definite wait and see mode. The fact they are resurrecting old title names that were successful is genius, yet makes me cautiously optimistic.

I hope it ends up being everything Nascar The game, or 14, or 15 was supposed to be.

If they can't sort out their AI issues by now, there's probably no hope.

That being said, I'm excited for a new nascar game, and I'll probably buy regardless, but if its similar to their past efforts, under different names, it'll be on ebay quickly probably.

The good news though, the bulk of this team making this game, laid a heck of a foundation with previous titles... so if they can polish it up, and finish it off, we're in business here. Which is awesome.

I just wish we got more substance here today, not just marketing fluff.

The fact that this morning's announcement was really just marketing fluff slightly concerns me. No video, having Edwards for PR and hyping their partnership with Toyota for the cover vote wasn't very substantial.

I realize DMRacing is a fairly low budget outfit but their website for the game is nothing but a pre order ad and that we haven't seen at least some screen stills is a bit of a red flag for me.

I'll be cautiously optimistic since this is a new foundation and a real and current full game for the current consoles. I'll be visiting the OS Forums quite a bit as the game is revealed more and eventually released for opinion from the community here.

Yeah that would be sweet, but like Mo said don't think it will be in this time. Would love to see the Xfinity and Truck series in though.

As much as I want this to be great, I'm keeping my expectations low.

It needs to be at least as good as NASCAR 09 for me to buy. And 09 wasn't great, but it was playable.

It sounds to me like a lot of you guys here never played Dirt to Daytona from Monster Games. That was by far one of the best Nascar games ever on console. I'm going to say that they will come out of the gates swinging hard. They have to.

Ive learned to trust and respect you opinion around here on racing games, and with these guys in particular... but past efforts from these guys have left alot to be desired. While the games have been fun, they've really lacked any substance and depth, and well.... fun because the AI has been brutal.

But really... these guys should have known better given their track record. Different name, different game title etc, etc may fool some, but for those of us into a nascar game that have played the past efforts they've been involved in, this marketing fluff piece... just doesn't cut it.

That being said, September is a long ways away. So they have time on their side. However, I just feel like a bigger bang to start the hype train off would have gone a long way for them. Not just a simple announcement, clearly driven by the marketing folks, with some cover driver fluff.

The casual fan may be into it already, but those of us who are hardcore into looking for a nascar game for xb1/ps4, this just... really means nothing at this point other than another game, by the same guys that disappointed us is coming.

I love Nascar, I love Nascar games. So, sorry for being negative on this, but they've just left alot to be desired, aside from a solid foundation that they just never fixed, or built on. Theyre going to have to prove it, and today's announcement proved nothing, other than something is coming. They should have known given the past, that those looking for a nascar game, needed more than that after what they have given.
