EA Sports has opened up their Madden NFL 17 player ratings database, where you can check all of the player ratings for every team. The Top 16 players at each position can be seen here.

Houston DBs got shafted pretty hard for a team that was 3rd in passing yards allowed. Jackson and Johnson both considered pretty decent to good CBs and they are both basically worthless in madden ratings (Joseph probably rated too highly).

The gave Cutler the mobility he deserves this year. Still his strength is too low. Should be in the 75-78 range not 69.

Vikings DB's did too. Especially Xavier Rhodes. He's no top 5 corner but he definitely deserves better than 76 man and 80 zone. He wouldn't be the #1 CB on Mike Zimmers defense if he was that bad. But hey, that's what full player editing is for.

Saints players are rated fairly low but can't blame EA after the last few seasons so I won't.

I feel Shazier and Timmons have been very overlooked rating wise at 79 and 78. Steelers Defensive Tackles are awful, highest rated one is 69. Definitely need to address that in my Franchise's.

If I were to start a Franchise with this exact roster I would be running out with 6 Bears starters that are below 70 ovr.

Love the new ratings.

If you bump his ovr up 2 notches he is a top 8 guy. Just goes to show how many good wr there are.

Another things is how is Matt Ryan rated higher than Jay Cutler ?

Jay Cutler played better with less talent on offense and just imagine if he had a Julio jones all season , Alshon only played 8 games and racked up 807 yards
