NHL 17 Roster Update Available Now

Per the official NHL 17 Twitter account, we should see the NHL 17 roster update sometime today. This tweet here confirms it.

Once the roster is available, we will update this post.

UPDATE: The NHL 17 roster update is available now.

Roster Update Download Instructions*:

In the NHL 17 main menu, select (Customize)
In the Customize section, select (Roster)
In the Roster section, select (Active Rosters)
In the Active Rosters section, select the most recent update organized by �Date & Time� under EA Sports NHL Official Rosters

*NOTE: Your console must have an internet connection to download this roster update.

The name thing is annoying. That can't be that hard to put in. It just takes time to get the announcers to record names. The Show is the best for that. I have a very uncommon last name, but since The Show is awesome, my name is in the game and pronounced correctly. I was always a little jealous of guys who could create their own guy and have their name announced since their last name was common. NHL (and Madden) should really consider doing the same.

That being said, I am having a lot of fun with this game this year. Madden too actually. They have finally made these games somewhat realistic and fun offline.

It seems odd that they would be that specific about digital likenesses being edited by someone outside of the company, but I'm sure crazier things have happened.

It's frustrating how the customizing is in this game. Creating your own players is years behind, editing current players is frustratingly limited. I'd pay an extra $20 just to get The Show's player editing/sharing abilities in this game.

Also lots of 1st round picks playing in university right now, but EA can't add them to the game or so I've understood.

How often were rosters updated for NHL 16 once the season started? Every couple of weeks? Every month?

In AHL is a lot wrong.

Here are many Players now missing, which was available before november update, like:

John Quenneville
Josh Ho-Sang
Conner Bleackley
Jordan Maletta
Justin Scott
Nick Aube-Kubel
Brendan Lemieux
and about 30 other players

(to move it to the AHL team).

Roster updated, but why didn't they actually update anything?

Logan Shaw was traded for Mike Sgarbossa

Panthers claimed Seth Griffith off waivers.

Neither one included in the roster update

	That's why I wish they had roster sharing. The community doesn't have to worry about the legal stuff. And if they are struggling to put out roster updates, the community would take a lot of that heat off of the developers.

Makes sense or VAN just wants control of anything.
