NHL 17 tuner update 1.01 is available now, check out the details below.
  • Increased User goalie precision movement speed
  • Increased goalies ability to control rebounds
  • Tuned AI passing decision weights in EASHL so that it decreases the chance they will consider passing near/towards their own net
  • Tuned deflection accuracy and added more weight to player ratings in the final result
  • Tuned how much impact the re-direct angle on deflections has on puck speed so that more speed is lost the more extreme the deflection.
  • Tuned down puck carriers reaction speed to reacquire a puck after losing it and increased the weight on player ratings.

Those deflections (and the amount per game) are ridiculous. Hopefully this "tuner" does fix that.

These sound like good tweaks. Now let's see how they play out on the ice.

Great tuner. It slows the game down to a more realistic pace.

Is the player weight issue the cause of the players actually stopping when I press the hustle button? I mean even if its a fresh player right of the bench? Seriously? I know the breakaways were a bit easy but taking away hustle altogether is a bit much.

Also bringing back the stick lift button for the button mashers was a bad idea.

You should read those changes again. They said they would put more weight on the players rating not the way it was before. So depending on your players rating he should be able to do the act.

I like the tuner. No more crazy deflections by the AI.

Thanks but my hustle issue was actually a controller issue. Fixed.

Still not a fan of the return of the stick lift button mashers.

As long as you have your setting on always use latest, your franchise will use it.
