Check out the latest MLB The Show 17 video, featuring gameplay improvements and an expanded amount of animations available for this year. The video also provides more details on new ball physics, the all new Catch and Throw engine, Cat and Mouse gameplay, and the new catcher throwing meter.

Cat and Mouse seems pretty interesting. Love the fact that having a defensive catcher this year will be able to play an important role.

Looks like they brought back the Nike MVP batting gloves from 15 as well as the Vapor cleats from 15.

The animations looks sweet now and more fluid.

Hit variety is huge as well.

After taking 2 years off from The Show. Seeing this video has me so HYPED. All new types of hits and defensive catchers meaning something. Awesome stuff.

The follow through animations look a lot better now. More fluid and not hitch.

3-6-1 DPs, bunts and show throwing animations all addressed.

The Ball Physics are going to be off the hook. Hit variety will be a game changer.

I love that throws will be varied and depend on when you pre-load during the fielding animation, players arm slot etc. That will be a huge.

Humanity AI should be a big improvement! I want to see the AI and AI controlled players make mistakes (I use auto fielding and manual throwing so seeing my OF's mis-judge a ball off the wall will be refreshing).

The Catcher meter is something I will have turned off as I play with a totally clean screen. I wonder if I choose to have it off will the throw ratings be the dominant factor. Wonder how the dice roll algorithm plays out with the catcher meter off. I use button throwing with no meter in the field as well.

Game looks sharp as always and I can't wait for Thursday's steam!

Adidas being in brought a huge smile to my face.

I really hope they made batting gloves editable to the extent that they made fielding gloves editable.
The four categories for batting gloves isn't enough.
