Madden NFL 17 News Post


Madden NFL 17 title update 11 is available now, check out the patch notes below and let us know what you are seeing.

Gameplay
  • Fixed a bug where the offensive tackle would play a blocking animation without engaging with a defensive player
  • Addressed a bug that caused the gameplay speed inside of Gauntlet, Skills Trainer, and Franchise Game Planning Drills to be extremely slow
Madden Ultimate Team
  • Addressed a bug where a user’s profile settings weren’t being honored in Play-a-Friend games
  • For online MUT and Draft Champions games, the 3-letter team name shown in the score hud will now represent the first 3 letters of your team name just as it does in Solo Challenges
To update this, you can enter Madden Ultimate Team, go to the “Team” tab and choose the Rename Team tile

Stability
  • Addressed the issue where declining a Live Commentary Update (LCU) and powering on from rest mode could cause significant lag in the menus and in-game
  • Other minor stability improvements

So today I played to glitchers/cheaters who did a stall glitch when I was kicking their @sses. Their PS4 names are:

skee_ball_21

itsinme

they need to be banned and the glitch needs to be patched. I have video proof. I was playing as the steelers.

Agree with everything up to last sentence. I don't know about the Show, but hear it's a great game.(no PS4) Once 2k figures out how to program defense better,ie better double team logic and fast break logic, then the game will be golden. I traded that game in after the 1st of the year because of those issues.

The CPU QB AI needs major adjusting.

Here's to hoping the separating of modes becomes sooner rather than later.

I don't know if anyone is seeing an increase in offside or not. Pre patch I had false starts at 54 in the settings (All-Pro) and only got a few for both teams a game. I played one game post patch (I know not a large sample size) and up until the 4th quarter with about 8 mins (out of 15) left on the clock and penalties where fine throughout the game. The opponent had the ball, I was on defense. They literally got 8 false starts in a row, it was annoying to say the least. The next time they had the ball they had several more false starts. I'm going to drop it down to 50 next game and see how that works out.

The further away from 50 you are, the more increased penalties you will have.

I get that, like I said I was having realistic penalties pre patch with everything set at 53-54 now false starts are ridiculous.

I haven't noticed more false starts, but holding penalties against me are way up (All madden vs cpu)

IF it happens again I'll get a video of it and post to YouTube. Not that EA is working on another patch or anything.

Something must have happened from a prior patch(not his last one) to have the FS glitch appear. It occurs on long drives when fatigue sets in.

And like I stated, the only fix for now is to keep the penalty slider at or near 50.

Anyone notice botched punts when nailing it in the accuracy meter?

No problem, I don't read everything either.

I haven't noticed anything about the botched punting when nailing the accuracy meter because I play on all pro.

If you issues persist with punting, you could Play the Moment and sim the punt?

I noticed the little nuance for punting myself...and FG/KO...you can't ride the meter all the way to the top like you would say...the show or even other meter based games. Those arrows are IT. You have to either nail those accurately, or jist before it to get the power. If you ride it all the way to the top it treats it as mis timed and when you click it back down the accurate meter, it will default the power to just above the accuracy meter every time which is the minimal power the specialist has. It's pretty crap for me online until I went conservative due to the lag latency.

I don't understand why they decided to do this either. It isn't how the classic three button press mechanic worked in older Madden's which I definitely preferred. It was said prior to release that there wouldn't be any latency for the meter in online games so I'm guessing that was the expectation and something happened along the way and latency became an issue.

I'd be willing to bet that a large portion of the missed kicks that occurred online this year were more so due to latency than difficulty of the kick meter because I know offline it was nearly impossible for me to miss a kick from release and then even more so after they made the meter easier.

Agreed...I actually think one of these recent patches did this as I dont recall having the issue when I was playing out of box default.
