I don't want to start a riot between 2k and EA fans but for being a huge fan of EA the past dozen years it just doesn't seem they have ever got sports right. (keep in mind I am mainly talking in the area of football and basketball because that is where I have the most knowledge but I would like to hear about the other sports as well. When the latest group of game consoles hit the market the ps3 was overpriced with a lack of quality games at or near its launch. The Playstation network was still pretty much a joke to microsoft's xbox live and it's games only looked as half as good when compared to it's top competitor. Running animations looks better, but previous gen Maddens had them PERFECT

ApexBronx, you stole the words out of my mouth! EA, Ian Cummings and staff should all understand why we all are so passionate about running animations. It is the single most repetitive thing you see in the game. Football players are constantly running. If that does not look authentic and realistic. It is really hard to see beyond that, ...NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE REST OF THE GAME IS!

EA raises the bar with Fight Night Round 4

Played the demo for fight night round 4 last night and was very impressed. Physics-based gameplay in the next-gen for boxing is finally here, let's hope Madden can follow suit... Graphics are second to none, i felt life i was watching a pre-rendered cg video during the live gameplay!
On the downside, controls are poor but i've read EA is already addressing the issue by adding face button punching which the demo lacks. The other area that was disappointing was the sound effects. ... Read More
