Da_Czar NBA 2K13 Play of the Day Horns 1 Part 3 Stuck
Posted on February 1, 2013 at 03:52 PM.
What's happening family ! It's your man the Czar back again with part 3 of our Horns 1 SuperSet offensive series. Thanks for joining us today. As we get into today's video we are reminded that despite the depth that 2K's play-system offers us there is still much work to be done.

Don't know about the comment that a play should never break down if the user makes the correct pass. Plays break down all of the time. The defense shouldn't fall for the same play all the time just because you made the correct pass. In real life the defender will try extra hard to stop Griffin from setting that screen a 3rd time running the play.

That's basketball.

I disagree because these plays are not breaking because of the defense. They are breaking because they don't work correctly. If the defense stops the play to me that is something completely different.

For users who are following a play step by step and then it just mysteriously breaks it creates confusion IMO

Da_Czar is half right. Defense can also break the play not only the players in offense. For example. If someone is playing zone and he is very aggressive on ball in a such a way that he is out of position the play often breaks. Your teammates starts to run wild e.g. "they recognize the opportunity - not" (cutting to the paint, setting screen to each other, setting screen to the player with the ball...) and the result is broken play and chaos in attack.

In 2k13 the play calling system is very very bad and I hope 2k is working really on hard on this part of the game for 2k14.

What should they work on:
- spacing; If someone is playing 1-3-1 zone and you call a play where you put your guards in corner, there should be no guard auto cutting to the paint.
- seting screens; Centers and power forwards should set a screen on time and in correct position. Many great plays in playbook doesn't work due to improper screen postion and timing.
- using screens; Player movement in offense should be faster and less wavy around the screen. There are many plays when you get called for 3 second violation due to player wavy movement around the screen in the paint.
