What's Happening Family ?

Its your man Czar. Listen, I haven't blogged in a minute and I will be leaving for a much needed vacation for a few weeks so there will be no Battlegrounds until June.

Since that is the case I thought I would let those of you who have not been yet, check out some behind the scenes footage at EA Canada.

The Airport has great character and some very interesting art work. You know immediately your in another country.

As most of you know last year I received an invitation for a one of a kind look at live 10 before it was released. It was a great experience that differed from the typical pre release look we normally get at our favorite games. At the time there was talk of making it an annual visit to focus on what matters to sim gamers. But with the recent change at the studio I'm not sure that is still the case.

The building sneaks up on you. It seems like your driving down a regular neighborhood then BAM your at one of the biggest video game studios in the world.

Typically you play the game right in front of the guys who just spent the last 8 months working on it. While they point you to all the new features they put into the game. Nothing wrong with that system however live 10 wanted to prove they were a game to taken seriously. So to do that Czar requested a bat cave. No dev's... Just me, a controller, and two screens baby

Since I had the option of doing a show while there EA set me up with my own editing suite for the week.

Although from the outside we all think of EA as one giant company, they are actually comprised of several distinct pieces. So much so, that the editing suites have to be reserved.

The crew in the media works department are an awesome and dedicated group of individuals who welcomed me with open arms. There are some seriously talented artists and editors down there in the dungeon, who taught me a lot about what it takes to edit with the big boys. I actually captured some footage for the Trailer while there but none of my moves made the final cut.

EACanada is like Disneyland for adults if your in love sports, and VIDEOGAMES its like coming home again !

I'm telling you if you can't get in a creative mindset here... Hang it up Family.... Your a corpse!!!

Again if you love videogames and their history EACanada is an awesome place to spend some time. Video games everywhere.

And if you can't play family keep your lips closed cause they can take you here and get you exposed...LOL yes there is a lunch time run on occassion...

There are some fantastic views from different parts of the campus. This was an employee league game I watched from a rooftop. From this distance it almost looks like video game characters down there.

The great thing about seeing a game early for a videogame fanatic is just that... seeing the game early. The worst part is probably dealing with the communities expectations. You can't be too excited even if something genuinly exictes you because you could inadvertantly cause the hype meter to go ballistic only to be labeled as a homer if someone else doesn't find that feature as exciting as you do.

When your seeing a new game for the first time there are so many things you COULD concentrate on that sometimes you forget to just take a few moments for yourself and enjoy the opportunity.

So if you ever get the chance to goto EA or any other company represent for your community, be diligent, be respectful, be honest but most importantly, remember, when you get that special sneak peak... Its okay to just be a kid and ENJOY yourself... if only for a moment.

Don't play videogames family.... Play BASKETBALL

My man 50 grand.....Da Czar Top 5 posters on any website dead or alive lol... Enjoy your vacation BTW, I remember you and wifey was hard at work putting up early vids back in October of live 10.. Man it seemed like it was yesterday.
