Quick Thought on NBA LIVE 16 and NBA2K16

Wassup People, Its ya boy DangerousDbloc....hope all is well

So we are a few days away from one of the most exciting times in a long time when 2 different,playable basketball games will be releasing. Give both companies a standing O...Its been a long journey. I salute you for the hard work and dedication as well to the COMMUNITY who let their theories,thoughts,ideas,anguish,disappointments and all that flow which I believe in a sense helped push the Dev teams even harder on top of their own drives....

Ok so I was reading and watching and noticed how I believe, many gamers are going about this judgement this go around wrong.... listen 2K been sitting on the thrown for quite sometime now and hasnt had an ounce of competition. They claimed king. Graphics, sounds experience, presentation revolutionary game modes...game play has had its quirks and servers im not going there today lol. So with that being said they are in the driver seat to remain where they are at.

On the flip side of things, NBA LIVE has been teasing a triumphant return. If you didnt know, IMO NBA Live 09 and 10 were huge steps in the right direction, I dunno what happened and care to not go there either after the NBA Elite debacle.....

Those playing live, judging the game, picking it apart and comparing it to NBA 2K, do some of us a favor, do the company a favor. Do Not compare the two, they are not the same, not on the same level, judge 2K for what they are and Judge NBA Live as such...and I believe things could go smoothly.
We as a passionate community often over look things and Ive already read the negativity...from BOTH titles and if fair some things people will like and some others wont, to eaches own. I'm not a huge fan of MyTeam, but I dont tear it down one bit..just not my cup of tea, so you see where im going with this...

I plan on getting Live, im actually enjoying this demo, so they have my support. and well you know im getting 2K....so theres no debate there, i just hope with all the things Ive had problems with in the past are better and I can go on to enjoy a total SIMNATION experience...2K said they cuttin the cheese.....so ill wait n see....

I feel you dude/gotta look at them as 2 different titles..comparing them will only warp your thinking on Live..Played the demo for a Half last night and thought it was cool, played a hell of lot better than 15 for sure..

i agree that in the end
sports gamers win with options.
fans will always choose sides
but this is the best situation
we have had in a long time...
if only there were two NFL titles.

Nice post. I for one think that Live 16 is a huge improvement (can't speak to much about online at this point) gameplay wise and hope that the series continues to improve. I agree with what you said about comparing the two as well. It's like comparing Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, both are two games of the same genre, but different in their own way. I just want to see improvement all around with both because neither titles are nowhere near PERFECT.

I get where you are coming from with this article, but you have to face the fact that NBA Live has introduced a Pro-AM game mode just like 2k this year so both are competing with each other whether you believe it or not. EA has had alot of downtime to perfect their game with all of the cancellations, also no one will feel sorry for a multi-billion dollar company with plenty of resources to get the best developers money can buy to bring this game to the next level. We have gotten to a point where all their excuses have been exhausted because we have been patient with them for the past 5 years. The ultimatum for EA and Live is simple. Make a basketball game worth $60 or continue to be inferior to 2k and continue to see low sales.

We were judging nfl2k compared to madden since the inception,when they never had a franchise mode ,live needs to be compared to 2k,they have infinite money (ea) and they chose to add extra fluff,when they could have tightened up all the animation and gameplay qualms, cause they have matched 2k in all those extra extras,

Trust when i say this. I definitely understand why EA n Live is under such fire. Everything is right, BUT im lookin at EA as a new show added to the circus. From the outside looking in, they arent the company that got us to the next level of basketball gaming at the moment. With that said it also appears they are putting in a better effort and thats a start.

Jus like Double Dribble got surpassed, live did too...whos gonna surpass 2K? Ahhh thats for another post lol.

If lives animations were a lil better the two would be back to back! If they fix the post game in the day 1 patch we will see how much better it is as live...I like live for way it is.

Thats going to be another litmus test as well. What patch improvements we will see from EA. I know one thing thats odd to me is the hook shots, reminds me of the issue 2k15 was havin when players were shooting backwards and sideways lol.

Another thing that baffles me is the rebounding. Its idk, weird. See what adjustments they make in that area.
