Does the Madden NFL 13 Scoreboard Banner Need an Adjustment? Stuck

Is it just me or does the Madden NFL 13 scoreboard banner look odd, at the top? If they are using the ESPN license, one would think it would look similar to the above picture.

Of course, that is a photoshopped image, I'm using as an example. If it were me, I'd first remove the top scoreboard banner and bring it down to the bottom, just like ESPN broadcasts do. Add the play clock to the right side and replace the ESPN logo with an EA Sports logo and be done with it. Just looks out of place, at the top.

Again, maybe it's just me.

What do you think? How would you change it? Maybe you like it as is...? Post your thoughts.

I completely agree. It should be as much like ESPN as possible. Gamers want it to be as life like as possible.

With the new announcing team it seems that they are trying to breed both CBS and NBC's coverage of the National Football League. I still dont understand why they wont jump head first into the ESPN licence. I hold my breath for the day when they can cross presentation styles the way NCAA Basketball did.

It looks more like CBS. I agree I like it better on the bottom. I am so with you jhogan3132! When they can cross present like NCAA basketball I will be so happy!

What's with the font of the score? Is this Mutant League Football? That's pretty hideous.

That's kind of what they had in Madden 10/11. Last year's bug actually looked kinda cool except it wasn't centered. I know they are trying to go on a blue CBS feel caused of Nantz and Simms, but the problem is the font looks deserving of a Wii game. They should have experimented with the clean "FoxBox" look.

I do not like the current scorebug. I would prefer to have the ESPN style, but anything better than this would work

They need to take out the BIG EA LOGO! We all know EA makes the game, but if they want to go to the next level in terms of presentation they need to take it out. Just my thought.

I respectfully disagree with you Steve, it must stay at the top because it imitates the CBS scorebug. It could be more colored though, like the example shown in Deuce's link.

Thanks for throwing my link in there!! Last year's was at the top and looked pretty good IMO. The difference was it was a lot sleeker and not as bulky. This year's looks almost too cartoonish and way too blue. I understand they're trying to emulate a CBS broadcast but I'd rather see team colors more involved.

That madden scorebug looks terrible. The banners should reflect what is seen on TV not some massive cartoon looking thing. The ones that Deuce made are 291838137281273 times better than that.
