Please let Hurley be wrong about Jack being right. I don't want Jack to be right about anything. I despise that character. It's amazing that the writers can come up with all these great and deep support characters and then botch Jack so badly. Or maybe it's just the way Fox portrays him. Sometimes when I watch I think that the writers are taking certain directions because he's got such limited range.

I am no fan of Jack, but I don't think anyone "botched" Jack. I think he's just a deeply flawed individual. I actually like what they've done with him. At the outset of the show, it really seemed like things were setting up in a traditional fashion: Jack and Kate, the hero and heroine. Sawyer, the rogue. Locke, the mysterious X-Factor. I really like how they've pushed these characters somewhat beyond these traditional roles and have brought out the strengths and weaknesses of each.

Eh. I would agree with you for the other characters mentioned. I just think Jack is by far the weakest character on the show. I think it has more to do with the actor than the writing or story, though, so I shouldn't have blamed the writers. I hope they don't get wind of this and extend the strike!

No way thats hurley in the casket.. the casket wasn't quite big enough...
Besides all that, i'd think Kate wouldn't have had a problem going to Hurley's funeral. I'm leaning towards that casket being juliette |

On the theme of the Oceanic 6, my wife and I were talking it through last night. We know Kate, Jack and Hurley are 3 of the 6. One of the remaining three is possibly Sawyer, as Kate mentions "he'll be looking for me" when they meet at the airport in Jack's flash forward. Desmond would not be one, as he was not on the flight. Charlie is shark food.
I say one of the remaining people is Locke. Seems odd that he would leave the island, but he makes the most sense to me for who was in the coffin, with no other visitors, and Kate's "Why would I go?" Locke is the one fighting Jack to stay, and him going to the funeral was his way of saying that Locke was right all along.

I have a hard time picturing Locke leaving. I could see it being Sawyer or, perhaps, Ben.

I have a feeling Claire, the baby, and Sawyer are the 6. Sawyer goes with Kate...based on my feeling that it was Sawyer who Kate had to go back to at the end of season 3.
And remember Desmond's vision? Doesn't he see Claire getting on a helicopter> |

I don't know that the baby would count. Same as Desmond or Ben wouldn't count since they weren't a survivor of the crash. I guess if you count the baby as a living person when Claire was, what, about 8 months pregnant, depends on your politics.

well I generally liked the episode but I thought the whole part about Naomi, running off to the woods, leaving a false trail, climbing a tree, then falling on and keeping Kate pinned to the ground with a knife at her throat after having a knife thrown in her back...and then dying was very very lame.
I am intrigued by the whole Oceanic 6 though and who's in the coffin and how they died. My thoughts on that is that it had to be either Locke or Sawyer based on Jack's comment at the time. Kind of ruled out Sawyer after Kate said she had some one waiting up for her. Locke didn't seem like he'd ever leave the island willingly, but given what happened this episode Kate's reaction to Jack showing her the obituary makes more sense here. I can't imagine Ben having any family show up after spending most of his life on the island. |

ditto, although I liked the episode. Are you guys sure there are no more flashbacks? Isn't it dependent on your point of view? Could the island be the flashbacks now? Just a thought, although it's incorrect. |

Has anyone seen all of the "missing pieces" episodes? I just watched the last one.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X9M0FTWACU Wow. Also...anyone see who was in the chair in Jacob's house last night? |

I don't think so, since the island story is the only one told in chronological order and doesn't focus on just one character. The flashbacks and flashforwards have all come out of chronological order, and only focus on 1 person. |

IMTG: That first spoiler makes no sense, given what we know about how Jack and Kate feel about the person-in-the-coffin.

Smoke monsters, polar bears, Locke's dad showing up . . . I stopped expecting stuff to make sense a long time ago.

Same here. Some good acting and somewhat chilling moments, but all and all it just seemed to add more loose ends. I really hope the show doesn't go back to the every other episode split between the two (Locke group and Jack group) groups, like it did when Jack/Sawyer/Kate were captured in season 2. One thing I noticed, that I thought was odd, was that Harold Perrineaux (sp?), the actor that played Michael, was in the credits but didn't appear to be in the show. |

I'm guessing Michael is Ben's man on the boat. As for the casket, let me be the first person anywhere to guess that it's Abaddon.

Is it wrong that I was Jeremey Davies and Ken Leung in every TV and movie?
I also liked Locked mentioning Walt talked to him, but her was a little taller. |

I thought that was really funny. Also, I loved how Locke said the bulllet went through him because he didn't have a kidney. As for the people who didn't like it, I understand your points. But to me the best part of the show is getting new questions. So I loved it. |

Just thought I would add my 10 cents. I liked the episode a lot. More questions of course, but I think they are doing a good job taking care of some of the old ones.
Oh and also wanted to provide a link regarding the helicopter. http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/N842M.html |

Ken Leung did a terrific job last night. It seems as if they've really sped up the development of the story this season, which is good. Before, we'd get four episodes of flashbacks for each of the new characters. Last night we got one episode with four different flashbacks.

You sure they were flashbacks?
We're only 90-days post-crash, so the discovery of the plane - which seemed to be accidental by the dialog - could have reasonable occurred much later than the events on the island. |

Good thinking. I didn't think about that. However, in the ARG Find 815 which just ended, the main character Sam Thomas lost his fiance in the crash, and he didn't know about any survivors. Sam is the one that actually finds the plane on the bottom of the ocean floor. |

Really? I thought it was a given that it was Ben. Good episode, probably not as good as last week, but good nonetheless. I was thinking they'd end the episode with Sayid meeting Michael (WAAAAAAAAALT!) on the boat. |
