Enjoy the rest of the draft. Time to walk the dogs and move to the other side of the house. Will still be watching but not online.

If I were the Jags, I'd start to count some talented kids, because if some of this talent falls into the 20s, I;d be willing to trade up for an Allen or a Howard.

They're going to have the picks to move wherever they want if they see the right QB.

That's true, and Barnett is safer, but with lesser upside I guess. Barnett was probably who they were targeting here, and nodded when he was there and sent in the card.

In FOF Speak, he;s the low volatility guy who'll wind up 58/58.

EDIT: How is TE Howard still on the board though?

EDIT2 - I like the Hooker pick by teh Colts

Wonder when the last draft without an OLineman in the top 15 picks was?

I think Hooker is as good as Adams at S. Great pick for the Colts.

The Colts definitely needed a safety, and mocks drafts had Hooker going in the area.

The answer, as far as I can tell, is not since the merger at the very least. I quit looking at that point.

I think TEs are available later. I wouldnt waste a 1st on one.

Iowa has one that ran a 4.52 with an 11 foot broad jump, 33" vertical. He will go 3rd or 4th round and be productive.

Think Fedoriwicz (sp?) from the Texans. Another Iowa guy.

Hope Allen's shoulders are okay. Could be a major steal if they are.

Allen reminds me of Tommie Harris. Was a stud for a couple of years, but more or less done by the time he was 26.

CB rankings were all over the place. Probably the hardest position to figure out. Lots of scheme specific CBs of different varieties with similar overall scores.

Will be a good nickel guy and probably one of the best returners in the league, plus a surprisingly good tackler for a smaller guy so probably some value on special teams. I'm biased but I think that's a good return for mid-late first round.

He really tailed off at the end of the year but should be a better version of D'Anthony Thomas. Should be a dynamix return man

He probably does max out as a Nickel guy, but in today's NFL that puts you on the field 60% or more of the time. Add in the return value and he won't be worn down by playing every down and you actually get some pretty good value.

Someone could have made a killing with bets on Humphrey being the 1st Alabama player drafted, 3 WR going in the top 9, the Bears trading up to take anyone, and no Oline in the top 15.

Strange draft so far.

And at least he doesn't have to go up against John Ross in the league... interesting that they took two guys who have elite return skills as a large part of their value though

OJ Howard is like Myles Garrett for me. Somebody who should've been more dominant at the college level, which worries me as a pro.

I think Howard's case it's the offense he was in. He excelled after the catch and only had 2 drops over the past two seasons. Just didn't get the ball much.

Saban's offense doesn't feature QBs or a gameplan good enough to make anyone look as good as they actually are in the passing game. Howard will be just as good relative to his position as the recent run of Bama WRs are.

I hate the Broncos pick they should have waited and got a tackle in the 2nd . They should have taken Dalvin Cook, Rueben Foster or move up to #18 to get OJ Howard. I hate the Bolles pick or any tackle in this terrible OL class in the first round. Just Elways crappy drafting again.

Why would that be bad? They were playing Ty Montgomery most of the season at RB for God's sake.

Agreed. Montgomery is a legit RB, but if Cook is there at 29 you have to consider it.

An NFL team actually used a polygraph test on Conley? They do know those aren't trustworthy at all, right?

Guess I'm okay with the Cards pick-they didn't try very hard to trade up to get a QB, so must not have liked any of them enough . LB certainly was a need.

Do the Browns take a shot at Foster with all the picks they have stockpiled this year and next? Seems like it might be a moneyball type of thing to do.
