w00t! I haven't logged in yet, but I'm stoked that I piggybacked over Texas to take the #2 spot in the nation.
I know DeTox and I were neck and neck on a couple of big recruits too...we'll see what kind of effect last week had on their decision making.

Seeing as I promised some recruits a Top 10 finish, I'll be rooting for Washington this week.

Texas is #2 in the BCS right now. You two are tied. Texas has #10 TCU their last game, and the Big 12 title game so if they win out and EF wins out, I suspect it'll be those two in. |

Hey Karl, just noticed this. Let's play it Tuesday (Tomorrow). I'm on the West Coast also, so I assume you mean 9 pm pst? If so, let's book it for 9:30 PM PST. Sound good?

We got a nice win over Clemson last night by about 10 points. Luckily, we ran back 3 INT's for TD's otherwise it would have been a big loss. Anyhow, we'll take it. Good game Karl, I couldn't figure out your D all game long.

PSU and Michigan State had their annual rivalry game. This year it was in Happy Valley, but that was the only thing that was any different than the last 2 years.
We were once again able to score at will, and we had either 4 or 5 one play drives. Zach Wright absolutely tore the Spartans a new one, Marcus Castillo threw for over 450 yards yet again with 8 TD passes, and both of our running backs had well over 100 yards each. All in all, we racked up 769 total offensive yards...and yes it was very offensive. Final Score Michigan State - 14 Penn State - 82

I'm opennly rooting for you to make the top ten Kodos. I'd really like all of the guys in the Big 10 to build up some powerhouses so whenever we play eachother it's a nailbiter like my last game w/ DeTox.

Missouri improved to bowl-eligible with a flogging at Iowa State, further underscoring the disappointment of the season by finally starting to play like a real team when it's too late to care anymore.
Now on to finish a 6-6 campaign when Clemson comes to town next week and teaches us a lesson we richly deserve. |

It hurts me to say this, but GO MICHIGAN! The OSU game is one of the few times where I'll root for Michigan. The other time is usually when they play against Notre Dame.

Indiana plays crappily for three quarters, but pours it on in the 4th quarter to win 38-13. Scott Allen caught 10 balls for over 200 yards and 2 TDs in his final regular season game. Hopefully the win will be enough to propel us into the Top 10.

Galaxy,
I replied to your PM a few days ago and still haven't heard back from you. Hopefully, Friday works for you. I can play almost anytime on Friday.

McKnight was the guy who scored the first long TD on you on his first touch. Johnson was the receiver who had the first long TD Epic game. ND has much more talent than they have had in the past and they gave us everything we could handle. Early in the game, Clausen threw his first pick, but Corp gave it right back with an ill-advised pitch on the option. Fortunately, we held ND to short range FG's on their first 2 drives as it was a defensively oriented first half that ended with a 13-7 ND lead. McKnight was our only real offense in the first half. In the 2nd half, we got the ball first and struck first on the aforementioned Johnson TD for 61 yards. ND controlled the ball the rest of the quarter with their short passing game and took an early lead in the 4th quarter on a fullback dive. We responded with a quick drive that ended with a TD to Blake Ayles (aka Thompson.) Notre Dame took the lead back with 2:29 to go in the game on a 32 yard TD pass on a beautiful streak. We worked the ball down the field methodically, but we almost took too much time as we found ourselves down to 45 seconds and still outside the 20. On 3rd and 8 with about 16 seconds left, McKnight dropped a pass in the endzone when the ND defender hit him. On 4th and 8 with 9 seconds left, we completed a pass over the middle to set up 1st and goal from the 7 with 2 seconds left. Corp threw a quick pass to Ayles who caught it for his 2nd TD of the day to win the game for USC 29-26. Epic game that had me tense the entire time.

Great game. I was on the edge of my seat the whole game.
Your two guys show up as Mike Archie (McKnight) and the receiver under another name. I was suprised that we managed to contain Archie (expect for his first carry of the game, in which I got my guy out of position to make the stop) and contain your deep passing game for pretty much the entire game. I knew I had to methodical in throwing different looks at you (spreading out your defense was a key, I think). The problem with our offense is we don't have that game-breaker receiver yet. With the exception of freshman recruit Jones (the receiver who scored that strike; however he is only rated a 76 overall despite his 97 speed and 6'5'' fame), we have no speed to push against a fast secondary. Hopefully with our recruiting class coming in next year (a very quick *4 QB, about 4 OT (1 5*, 3 4*) and a 3 OG (all 4*), along with a pair of good receivers), they can give us the same impact on offense that we have on defense. This team is only going to get better and faster. Last edited by Galaxy : 04-10-2009 at 01:51 PM. |

I know they show up under another name. I never bothered to rename them, as I figured it is fine as long as I know who they really are No doubt that your team will be a very tough challenge again next year. You've done a great job bringing in some talented guys. |

I wish we had six stars. We got 4 now. Hopefully, it goes back up by one. Does conference prestige and your team rating impact getting votes? Last edited by Galaxy : 04-10-2009 at 04:21 PM. |
