From 10 to 6 is a nice bump.
Good luck against Mizz detox. Daniel is tough to play against. He will make mistakes though, you just gotta be sure to take advantage of each one. Their D is pretty damn fast too. |

my problem is only one guy in my secondary has awareness over 70. I have to be givng up nearly 400 yards a game through the air. So frustrating. I have a lot of DB and S offers out so I hope I get some bodies as this is brutal.

Ugh...I'm beating up on Louisville 14-0 in the first Q when the game just freezes. I'll play my game later tonight, hopefully.

Texas A&M picks up another solid win with a 35-14 victory over Iowa State. QB Stephen McGee had by far his best game of the season passing the ball and finished with 3 TDs and no picks. This moves Texas A&M to 6-2 on the year. Unfortunately, we only stand at 2-2 in conference play.
More good news on the recruiting front as we received a hard commit from a 4 star safety out of Louisiana. Brandon Dingle (6'3" 218 lbs) is quick and has good instincts but may redshirt his first year due to some weak tackling skills. Dingle was in attendance at our win over Texas Tech and obviously came away impressed. Dingle marks A&M's third commit of the year. Based on how our current board is shaping up I feel we have a very good chance to pull in a top 10 recruiting class. Next week we look to continue our turnaround in conference play as we host DeToxRox. Last edited by Ironhead : 09-20-2008 at 09:20 AM. |

NC loses to BC 26-24 in a game I never should have lost. I threw 3 picks in the 1st half, benched my starting QB and the backup threw 2 add im 2nd half fumbles and I was history.

NC State gets a big win on the road to get back to .500. We went up 14-0 on Maryland in the 1st half, they scored to open the 2nd half, and again early in the 4th quarter. A FG with 3 minutes left made it 17-14 Maryland, but we were able to put together a 8 play, 80 yard drive, including a HUGE 3rd and 18 conversion, to get the game winning touchdown with 1:30 to go.
21-17 Wolfpack. Our next two games are games we expect to win, at Duke and vs Wake. Win them both and we're bowl eligible(after that is UNC and Miami, so yea.. lets win those first two). |

I'll be damned, I may've figured out how to make up for our secondary deficinies! We roll into Mizzou and drop a bomb on them, beating up on the Tigers 42-14. We shut down Daniel, holding him to 258 yards, though 69 of those were on one TD pass to Maclin, beyond that, he was useless.
Meanwhile, we stuffed the ball down Mizzou's throat. Darrell Scott ran 39 times for 222 yards and a TD, while backup Darius Sumler had 11 carries for 25 yards and 2 TD. Scott also added 3 catches for 92 yards and a TD, with a huge 75 yard screen pass he took to the house making it 28-14 and keeping the momentum on our side. Now we rest up before a battle with Texas A&M. If we win out (slim chance) we have a shot at the Big 12 title game, which is remarkable. Meanwhile, Darrell Scott may have Freshman of the Year wrapped up, as through eight games his stats are: 197 carries for 1025 yards, 16 TD 42 catches for 622 yards, 5 TD I can't wait until his Junior year, he will be a beast! |

We pulled out a nice win over Texas, 27-10 I believe was the final. Beau Johnson grinded out a nice game in the rain and Zac Robinson was deadly accurate.
With my boys up 24-7 mid 3rd quarter, the following play took place which could have a big impact on the Big XII for this season AND next season. Yep, that was Colt McCoy getting drilled as he tried making the screen pass, and he broke his collarbone and is out for the season. Not sure what his draft intentions were, but he'll probably be back for another year. In other news, shortly afterwards I lost my starting MLB Orie Lemon for 11 weeks with a dislocated elbow. Mississippi State wins 45-14 over Middle Tennessee State. There was an early scare as we allowed yet another kickoff for a touchdown to let them tie things at 14-14. From there on out though we dominated. Tay Bowser picked off not one, not two, but three passes, setting the single season record with eight for the year. Wesley Carroll continues to re-write the single season record book as well, passing for three touchdowns which ups his record total to twenty-one. Christian Ducre', our permanant starter at running back, put up 120 yards on the ground a pair of scores. Our d-line recorded an impressive eight sacks as well in a fairly dominating performance. We put it in cruise control just after half and started exploring our playbook. We also had 8 recruits in town, so not a bad showing.

This win got us to 7-1 with four to play. We've got two human games left, one I hope to be competitive in and one that I'm assuming I'll get smoked in. That leaves two computer games that are tough but winnable I believe.
Kentucky (human game, tough and I'll probably lose) @ Alabama (tough, but I think I can win) Arkansas (I will lose the way he's playing) Ole Miss (rivalry game, hopefully win) A bad stretch here, 2-2, would leave me 9-3 and in solid shape. A good run, 3-1, would give us a 10-2 season which would be incredible given how inconsistent I've felt I've played. I would like to see us go to a decent bowl. On the radar currently are: Capital One Bowl vs. Big Ten #2 Cotton Bowl vs. Big 12 #2 Outback Bowl vs. Big Ten #3 Chick-Fil-A Bowl vs. ACC #2 I think there are some chances for human match-ups in there but honestly, I wouldn't mind squaring off against a Big Ten team as it is the conference I normally root for. |

For Colorado we still have a shot at the Big 12 North Title, assuming we find a way to win out (With A&M and OSU, it is probably not going to happen) and get two losses from KState (Doable).
Assuming that happens, we had a miracle, otherwise I hope for 3-1 and a decent bowl game. |

Wow what a thriller in Pittsburgh as they pull they upset over #25 Rutgers 41-38. This one came down to an incredibly close onside kick. Rutgers jumped out to a to a quick 13-0 and lead at halftime 23-14. Exceptional running by L. McCoy was the difference as he came up with a big 80yd TD run and a huge 58yd PR all in the second half. Crappy QB play by Pat Bostic nearly cost Pitt the win. Both teams won and lost this game many times. Teel was unbelievable for Rutgers as was their secondary. I wish I would have save some highlights.
RU 10 13 0 15 38 Pitt 0 14 13 14 41 Rutgers: M. Teel: 30 of 39 503 yds 4TDs 2 INT K. Young: 13 car 55yds T. Brown: 8 rec 171 yds 2TDs T Underwood: 5 rec 145 yds 2 TDs Pitt: P. Bostic: 20 of 27 266 Yds 3TDs 4 Int L. McCoy: 15 car 146 yds 3TDs O. Turner: 6 rec 111 yds TD

I just got the box on Friday and sent it out on Saturday, so don't anticipate me playing my game this week unfortunately, hopefully I'll have it for week 10.

A deceiving 49-17 win for Arkansas. Offensively we didn't do much, only scoring 2 touchdowns. But 3 INT's returned for touchdowns and 2 kickoffs returned for touchdowns gave us the blow out win. Hopefully the offense shows up next week.
