Another vote on playoff expansion

The last vote was weird for a variety of reasons and I'd like to do another vote. Our ownership has changed a lot since the last vote.

This isn't a vote for realignment, because at this point, I think expanding the league would be a bad idea just due to the lack of pitching (or maybe a good idea to thin things out more?)

Divisional realignment seems sticky to me, at least at this juncture, especially without expansion of teams.

Anyway...I'd like to get a pulse on what current owners would like to do regarding playoff expansion starting in 1980.

Your choices are:

1) No change: Maintain the status quo of league champs only in the playoffs.
2) Top two teams in each league: One wild card in each league, advances to an LCS, with the winners of a best-of-seven LCS advancing to a best-of-seven FOOL Classic. This was the FOOL standard from 1961-1963.
3) League champs plus the top 2 record teams: I believe it's possible with custom playoffs, to make the two wild card teams the two teams with the best record irrespective of league. However, with no interleague play, might that not be fair? You all debate that.

Nevermind option 3. I ran a test league and it doesn't work as I thought it might. So it's just #1 and 2. Votes for 3 will be counted as status quo.

Voted no to maintain the status quo. Would suck for a team to finally get a league championship only to get upset in a wildcard round and not make the fool classic thanks to the randomness that is OOTP postseason against a team that they actually beat head to head over the larger sample size.

I stuck with the status quo. I'm not for the wildcard in one division leagues. If we ever split to two divisions, then I would be for division champs meeting in an expanded playoffs.

Win or go home, so voted for status quo. I also think its easier for Mr Commish.

Add one more to the unanimity. Until we add more teams, I don't think there's any reason to revisit the playoffs or restructuring.
