Surprise rookie performers - 2031 Regular Season

I am going to try and do this every regular season, not counting playoffs.
Please put in your rookie surprises here. This can include bad performances from highly priced, highly rated rookies to great performances from unexpected, low priced, lowly rated rookies.

ROOKIES ONLY

BAL
RB Amos Clemons backup at RB. Signed 3 year $33 mil deal.
Rated a 60/64 by my scout
183 Att for 756 yards (4.13 avg) and 4TDs, 75 rec 473 yards 1TD.
Although a backup Clemons got almost 50 more carries then the starter and got targeted 25%.

NE
WR Curtis Berube. Signed 3 year $33 mil deal.
Rated 36/51.
7 ST tackles.
No doubt a future investment given the number of quality receivers on this team.

NYG
WR Perry Battle started at SE. Signed 3 year $57 mil deal.
Rated 38/54
Caught 67 (63.2%) for 808 yards and 5 TDs.
I made a big bid for his services but obviously not enough, had the best agility in the 4.68 second range I believe. Not the worst performer but not the best with only 88 YAC. May improve next season.

PHI
RT Edwin Carlson started at LT. Signed 5 year $48 mil deal.
Rated a 95/95
Allowed 11 sacks (2.4%) and had a BPct of 35.9.
Its possible he could improve or become one of those highly rated, allow too many sacks type of player.

PIT
DT Ernie Bates started at LDT. Signed 3 year $4.8 mil deal.
Rated a 52/52
Got 55 tkls, 17.5 sacks (13 HUR, 14 QBKd).
Pretty damn good signing for someone who lost a star DE to my Texans.

Ya, Bates had to step in at DT and I moved my Star DT Carpenter out to DE for the season at least. Very pleased with his performance as I knew his PRT would come up, I was hoping it would continue but it looks like he's done. Hope he doesn't hold out and ask for Palma money!

Interesting read tho, thanks C4.
