The 2030 FOOL-X Classic is set!

The Plantana Pirates vs the Spring Lions!

Spring returns to the Classic for the first time in 13 seasons. They last won it all in back-to-back seasons 2016-2017. Since their last title, the Lions only have made the playoffs once, but received a first round exit pass. Spring is FOOL-X's all time winningest franchise with a .544 winning percentage, and with a title here could become only the second franchise in FOOL-X history with 8 titles.

Plantana on the other hand are in search of a franchise's 5th title themselves. They have only one playoff apperance in the last 31 seasons and have not even made it to the Classic since moving from Boston. The last title for the franchise came in 1999. A win here would be the first title for Plantana since the move.

These two franchises have faced each other 3 other occasions in the past. The all time advantage goes to Spring 2 to 1.

Love the history there.

My first winning season. Having a blast here and glad to have made it to not just the playoffs but now to the Classic. Good Luck to Spring......okay not too much though.

Doug McDonah pitches a complete-game no-hitter for Spring!!

This is the first time in the 70 year history of FOOL-X that there has been a FOOL-X Classic (or even a playoff) no-hitter!

Spoiler

Spring leads the series 2-0

Looking through the other FOOL league history in 130+ seasons, I only see one Classic no-hitter there as well. One of the rarest feats in our league history!

Grats Spring. You tore up my pitching. Looks like some of my better pitching came from the guy I called up for the playoffs. Great job on a fine season.

Way to go, Tasan! Congrats. And wow on McDonough. Makes me depressed I didn't offer enough for him when he went to free agency. Always seems like the ones outbidding me for those guys are always Tasan, Teach, Montreal_GM and hyde, too. Sheesh!

WOOOHOOOO!!!! Wow that felt good to read. Congrats kenjabroni on a great run at it, come back next year and it probably won't be me in your way. This title will be it for us for a while more than likely. I don't think I'm going to be able to afford bringing back everyone, and I've cost my system 1st round picks like crazy putting this thing together.
