Whew! Thanks Alan. The roster issue was probably me anyway, because without that export I had an invalid roster.

Hamilton Rips Brunswick for 6 Hits
Saturday, April 24th, 2094: On top of the Colorado hit parade today was Kyle Hamilton. He went to the plate 6 times and marched away with 6 hits, sparking the Rancheros to a 13-1 victory over the Brunswick Barons.

The sweet swinging right fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."

The skipper of the Barons wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

K. Hamilton hit a solo-shot off T. Tashima in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far this year Hamilton is batting .300 with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

In May the Colorado hitter tagged opposing pitching for a .278 average with 30 hits, 2 home runs and 13 RBIs.

A look at his current stats shows Sánchez with a .271 average, 4 home runs, 28 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 51 games.

300 Homers for Merrick
Tuesday, June 8th, 2094: There was a big sigh of relief by Francis Merrick after he hit his 300th career homer. The Napa Valley catcher told BNN, "Whew. I'm glad it's over...now I can go back to just playing baseball."

It was quite a day for Merrick. He got his name in the league record books, 2 hits, 3 runs batted in, scored 2 runs and his team, the Napa Valley Winemakers beat the Tokyo Cyclones 10-2.

Merrick knew it when he hit it. He raised his hands in the air, then ran the bases like a high school player clapping and grinning.

He told reporters in the post-game interview, "I was acting goofy running the bases... but it was my 300th home run."

"It was great," his manager said. "He stood there and watched it...we all did. You just felt it was coming...you just had a sense he would hit it soon. He has been having a lot of good at-bats. It was great to get it out of the way."

All-time Merrick has played in 1745 games, batted .213 with 300 home runs and 1418 base hits.

RL Starter of the Month Goes to Bedeschi
Thursday, July 1st, 2094: Evaristo Bedeschi took home the Republic League Pitcher of the Month honors in June. After all these years playing ball, the 37-year-old veteran still enjoys the game as though he'd just broken camp for the first time a month ago. He's a bit older now with a few more aches and pains, but the old man has reason to celebrate, having gone 5-0 for Ann Arbor last month and claiming the Pitcher of the Month award.

He tacked up a 1.88 ERA in his 6 starts, tossing 43 innings and striking out 31.

This year Bedeschi has fashioned a 9-5 mark, 2.69 ERA and pitched 123.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .220 against him and he has logged 80 strikeouts.

Loyola Garners CL #1 Pitcher Award
Thursday, July 1st, 2094: It was a very good month for Martín Loyola in June. The 35-year-old veteran starter for the Georgia Devils outpitched everybody -- young and old -- to claim the Continental League Pitcher of the Month award earlier today.

Loyola ran up a 4-1 record in his 5 starts during the month. In 40 innings he fanned 19 and recorded a 1.58 ERA.

This season Loyola has crafted a 9-4 mark with a 2.75 ERA in 127.2 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .225 against him and he has 65 strikeouts.

Big Month Brings in RL Top Rookie Trophy
Thursday, July 1st, 2094: Carlos Juárez was toddling around on his tricycle when some of the guys he's playing against were in their prime, but the 25-year-old right fielder definitely knows how to get to first, second or beyond. Today he was chosen June's Republic League Rookie of the Month for his remarkable month of hitting.

In 13 games Juárez batted .280 for Brunswick, slapping 14 hits in 50 at-bats with 2 home runs, drove in 8 runs and scored 10 times.

In 53 games this season Juárez has batted at a .288 pace with 57 hits and 4 home runs.

Salinas Selected CL's #1 Rookie
Thursday, July 1st, 2094: José Salinas's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Tokyo center fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month.

In June he was voted the Rookie of the Month Award.

During the month he hit .337 with 11 doubles, no triples and no home runs. Salinas also scored 15 times and drove in 4 runs.

Bedeschi Top RL Starter in July
Sunday, August 1st, 2094: Evaristo Bedeschi nailed down July's Republic League Pitcher of the Month award today, adding pressure on Ann Arbor to get a deal done before the 37-year-old becomes a free agent.

Bedeschi seems unfazed by the talk. "We get a deal done or we don't," he told reporters, "I'm not worrying about next year. Worrying about next year isn't what wins awards, you know?"

He fashioned a 4-0 record, reeled off 22 strikeouts, worked 29.2 innings and held batters to a .173 average for the month as he posted a 0.61 ERA.

This year Bedeschi has compiled a 13-5 mark with a 2.29 ERA in 23 starts.

Baltimore Starter Selected Best Pitcher
Sunday, August 1st, 2094: The elite pitcher this past month in the Continental League was Terry Stover of the Baltimore Charm. He stood head and shoulders above the rest, finishing July with an extraordinary 5-0 record and a 1.01 ERA.

The Charm star hurler made 5 starts and surrendered 25 hits in 35.2 innings. He struck out 13 and walked 8.

Stover has a 12-4 season record so far. In 20 starts, he has fanned 72 batters in 129.1 innings with a 3.13 ERA.

Juárez in a Class by Himself
Sunday, August 1st, 2094: The best Republic League rookie in July was Brunswick's center fielder Carlos Juárez.

He hit .349 with 29 hits, 2 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 16 runs scored. He also walked 13 times on his way to a .438 OBP.

Juárez is presently hitting at a .306 pace with 6 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 76 games and scored 46 times.

Best CL Rookie Named, Nod to Salinas
Sunday, August 1st, 2094: Tokyo's José Salinas collected 25 hits to snare the Continental League Rookie of the Month for July.

He batted .321 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 11 runs scored.

The 21-year-old is barely old enough to shave, but he could definitely contend for Rookie of the Year if he keeps up this pace.

In the current season, Salinas has put up a .334 batting average with 122 hits, 4 home runs, 25 runs batted in and scored 58 runs.

Salinas Reaches 300-Save Milestone in 7-3 Hartford Victory
Saturday, August 7th, 2094: Today was an historic day at Harpooners Ballpark III in Hartford. Once again the gifted bullpen specialist Jesús Salinas calmly did what he has done several hundred times previously - he saved the game for the Hartford Harpooners. The 7-3 victory over the Brunswick Barons was his 300th-career save and placed his name among the great relievers in baseball. Salinas nailed down the verdict by holding the Cubs to no runs and no hits in his 0.1 innings.

After the final out, Salinas dropped to his knees and pointed a thankful hand toward the sky. After the game, Salinas told reporters, "This was in tribute to my deceased grandfather, who raised me and was such an important part of my life and upbringing. He would have been very proud of me today."

Over his career in 622 games, Salinas has worked 714 innings with a record of 52-54. He has posted 300 saves, has a lifetime ERA of 2.76 and has struck out 659 batters.
