blue bloods [OOTP 18]
Platform: Steam
Rosters: Opening Day
Trading Difficulty: Average (People say it's too easy on Average, but I beg to differ)
Play Style: Every game; possibly to play one, sim two later. While pitching, I will use the "one-click" pitching option with bases empty. With runners on, I will go to pitch-by-pitch. Same rules for hitting.
Team Control: Active roster plus minors
Managerial Control: Manager will handle defensive shifts and non-stealing base running decisions
Synopsis: I'll be picking up play on Monday, July 17th. The Royals are currently 43-48 and seven games out of a wildcard spot after a home sweep of the Texas Rangers to remain alive in the playoff race. The next few weeks will be interesting as the trade deadline approaches. Will the Royals hold on to pending free agents like Kelvin Herrera and Eric Hosmer for one last run, or will they look to build for another future run by dealing them? Compounding matters are the injuries to aging standouts like Alex Gordon, Joakim Soria, and Lorenzo Cain.
I used to play MLBTS every year up until last season. I'm an advanced stat geek and OOTP is where it's at for that, even though MLBTS has picked up its game in that regard. I've done a Royals dynasty most years, and the banner is from my first iteration back in 2013. I'll try to go game-by-game, but could go to weekly if time won't allow for daily recaps.
Enjoy!
NOTE: Please begin reading at Page 77, post 614. The posts prior to that are an old, corrupted franchise.
